Team Bangtan arrived at headquarters the following morning, exhausted but focused. As they stepped into the building, they handed over custody of the rogue agent and immediately proceeded to meet with Chief Bang. The atmosphere was tense, the weight of their recent mission heavy on their shoulders.

Chief Bang listened intently as Jin detailed everything they had uncovered, including the rogue agent's claims about the mysterious Project Abyss. The room fell silent when Jin finished, the chief's expression unreadable as he processed the information.

After what felt like an eternity, Chief Bang finally spoke, his voice measured. "Did you find any data to support his claim about the existence of Project Abyss?"

Jin shook his head. "No, sir. We haven't found anything yet."

The chief sighed deeply, leaning back in his chair. "Then I'm afraid we can't pursue this lead. For all we know, he could be fabricating stories to save himself."

Jin hesitated, concern evident in his eyes. "But sir, if what he's saying is true, it could mean something gravely dangerous."

Chief Bang's gaze hardened. "'If' he's telling the truth. You know we don't run missions based on 'ifs,' Seokjin."

"Yes, sir," Jin replied, his tone resigned.

The team shared a collective sense of disappointment. The potential threat of Project Abyss lingered in their minds, but without concrete evidence, they had no choice but to stand down. After receiving their orders, the seven men quietly left the chief's office, each lost in their thoughts.

Back at the dorm, Namjoon headed to the shower after Hoseok, the warm water helping to wash away some of the tension from the mission. When he returned to his room, he found Taehyung already passed out on his bed, still dressed in his uniform. Namjoon hesitated, wondering if he should wake him up or help him change, but he decided against it. He didn't want to invade Taehyung's privacy.

Namjoon slipped into his own bed, trying to relax. Just as he was beginning to drift off, a soft knock on the door startled him. He sat up as Seokjin entered the room, smiling sheepishly.

"Sorry, did I wake you?" Seokjin asked in a whisper.

Namjoon shook his head. "No, I just got into bed."

Seokjin nodded and walked over to Taehyung's bed. "This one always falls asleep without freshening up or even taking his clothes off," he said with a fond smile, gently removing Taehyung's shoes.

Namjoon lay back down, watching quietly as Seokjin carefully undressed Taehyung, leaving him in just his boxers. He then wiped Taehyung's face with a wet wipe, the care in his actions evident. Namjoon was struck by how much attention Seokjin paid to his teammates, not just as their leader in the field but also in small, personal ways.

"Were you hurt at all during the mission, Namjoon?" Seokjin asked softly, turning to look at him.

"No, I'm fine. Thank you," Namjoon muttered, feeling a warmth in his chest at the concern.

Seokjin nodded with a small smile and pulled the covers up over Taehyung, tucking him in gently. After making sure Taehyung was comfortable, Seokjin gave Namjoon one last smile before leaving the room quietly.

Namjoon turned onto his back, staring up at the ceiling. His respect for Seokjin had deepened; the man not only led them with skill and authority in the field but also took the time to care for them in the quiet moments. Namjoon realized how close-knit his new teammates were, and it gave him a sense of belonging that he hadn't felt in a long time.

As he let these thoughts wash over him, Namjoon slowly drifted off to sleep. For the first time in a while, his rest was peaceful, free from the nightmares that had plagued him for so long.
