"—I think I've got permanent hearing damage now," Seamus joked, tapping his ear as if he couldn't hear anything.

Kitty chuckled, her eyes gleaming with mischief. "Are you sure it's not just you getting to that age, Seamus?" she teased.

Seamus scoffed, feigning offense as he crossed his arms. "I'm only 33, ye' wee Pixie!" he mock-scolded, shaking his head with exaggerated disapproval, though the smile tugging at the corner of his lips betrayed him.

Kitty found herself sharing a medical room with Seamus—or at least that was the idea.
The wall between them had been pulled up, making it impossible for either of them to see the other, but they could still chat through the barrier.

A few of the operatives had been sent to the medical wing to tend to their bruises and stings.
Gustave had whipped up a soothing cream that worked wonders, quickly alleviating their discomfort.

As she waited, Kitty noticed several teammates passing through the room.
Yumiko came and went in a blur, while Ela stopped by for a quick check-in.
Taina, however, was too proud to get checked out, and Kitty hadn't caught a glimpse of her at all.

Kitty leaned back against the wall, her eyes closed in a moment of relaxation. The quiet was soothing until she heard the unmistakable sound of someone entering Seamus's room.

Curiosity piqued, she cracked one eye open and listened intently.

"Seamus," she heard Gustave greet him.

"Doc," he greeted back.

Gustave gave him a knowing look. "I'll get the cream ready. Anything else I should look at while I'm here?"

"Nah, just the usual bumps and bruises. Though you might want to check if my hearing's still intact." Seamus joked.

Gustave raised an eyebrow, his expression halfway between amusement and concern as Seamus pointed to the room across the way, a mischievous grin on his face.

"Kitty was runnin' 'round like a wee banshee!" Seamus declared with exaggerated exasperation, loud enough for his voice to carry through the wall.

From the next room, a soft giggle escaped Kitty, her amusement not lost on either of the men.

Gustave chuckled, shaking his head. "Ah, that explains why Yumiko was tapping her ears earlier," he mused, a quiet laugh escaping him.

Seamus leaned back, a mock-serious expression crossing his face. "Aye, poor girl got the full blast of it, too. Probably still hearin' ringing."

From the next room, Kitty's voice piped up, playful as ever. "If you're trying to guilt-trip me, Seamus, it's not working," she quipped, her tone dripping with cheeky defiance.
