After the children departed, Klaus and Nico went back to the main living room where Sir Reginald's urn was held. The urn held the resemblance of a trophy with the man's photo beside it. The young boy stood behind the bar, whipping up a cocktail for himself. He would've given one to Klaus but only after he conjured the deceased man.
The shaking of ice was heard as Nico watched Klaus pace around the room.
"Listen up, old man. You know if I was murdered and if one of my sons–adopted sons– happened to be able to commune with the dead, I might think about, I don't know, I don't know...manifesting!" Klaus ranted and extended his arms out. The boy just raised a brow at him, pouring the mixture into a tall glass.
"Do the whole big angry ghost lecture. Tell everyone who did it, and find eternal peace. Eternal peace is probably overrated." He scoffed, taking a moment to stare at the urn. However, he was met with silence which irritated him but amused Nico.
More silence filled the room as Klaus tiredly sighed.
"Come on now, Reggie. Any time now."
More time passed
"Nico, how long has it been?"
"Two minutes."
And more time
"Nico?"
"Five minutes."
"Just need to sober up!" Klaus told himself, lightly slapping his face as he stretched.
And more
"Pretty boy?"
"Ten minutes."
"Clear thoughts." The man shakily exhaled, raising his hands, and began to lightly shake them.
"Come on! Come on, chop-chop! You always were a stubborn bastard!" He yelled, irritated. Nico shook his head and made himself another drink. Which caught the attention of the man and staggered over to him.
"I don't know about you, but I need a drink. Nico, be a dear and please ma–" Klaus tried to say but cut himself off when he knocked over the urn with his arm. The boy jumped back, his face scrunched up at the sight of fallen ashes. Klaus did the same as he forcefully laughed at the sight, covering his mouth with his tattooed hands.
"Jeez." Nico sighed, watching as the man scurrying shoved the ashes back into the urn. The pair then moved locations to be in the kitchen. Where the man placed the urn on the table while Nico looked around the kitchen. However, with his back turned, the boy missed how Klaus shoved random pills in his mouth.
As Nico looked through the cabinets and fridges, he stumbled upon a kettle on the countertop. He lightly hummed and grabbed a white mug he found from one of the cabinets. Along with a tea ball steeper and spoon. Undoing his cardigan's buttons, there was a cylinder tin container attached to his belt. Detaching the tin from the belt he opened the lid and scooped a few spoonfuls of coffee ground into the steeper.
The boy then grabbed the kettle and filled it with water, turning it on to boil. Heading to the small yellow fridge he grabbed milk and hazelnut syrup. When he turned he watched as Klaus laid on the table. A sigh left his lips, lightly shaking his head with a small smile.
As he waited for the water to boil he heard the familiar song of "I Think We're Alone Now" by Tiffany echoing throughout the manor. Nico lightly hummed with the lyrics as he bobbed his head to the rhythm. Watching in amusement as Klaus began dancing around, clenching the urn close to himself. At one point he placed it down and forced the boy to dance with him, the pair twirled around the room.
