It wasn't long before Five had woken up, his mind ached in a dull pain from his hangover. He looked around the mysterious room he was in before they settled on Luther. The boy's mind then flickered back to Nico, remembering snips of the boy in his drunken daze. At the thought of him, Five's lips twitched but he quickly covered it up when Luther faced him.
"When's it supposed to happen? This... apocalypse." Luther asked, his voice slow and somewhat soft.
"I can't give you the exact hour, but... from what I could gather, we have four days left." Five mumbled, his throat dry and raspy.
"Why didn't you say anything sooner?" Luther demanded, irritated about being left out of this world ending situation.
"It wouldn't have mattered." The boy sighed, his head spinning in pain again.
"Of course it would. We could've band together and helped you try to stop this thing." The man fought back but the boy shook his head.
"For the record, you already tried.." Five scoffed, earning the man's attention rather quickly.
'Even Nico.' The boy bitterly thought.
"What do you mean?" The man asked, which Five said silent for a few seconds, his throat bobbed.
"I found all of you. Your bodies." Five weakly mumbled, his tone uncharacteristically soft and quivered.
"We die?"
"Horribly."
For a moment, Five remembers back at the scene where he found the others. Their bodies were motionless and pale as piles of large parts of buildings on them. One particle body he remembers, very clearly. It was near Klaus's body, they were covered in a large pile, nothing was visible of them. Five couldn't tell who it was, a random person but it made no sense why they were so close to his siblings.
Without realizing, the boy walked closer to the pile. The only thing that Five could see was a pair of hands, ones that were covered by leather gloves. With slow hands, the boy gently touched the cold gloved hands.
Now... he was able to identify who that person was, it was Nico.
"You were together, trying to stop whoever it was that ended the world." The boy continued with a shaky breath.
"Wait, how do you know that?" Luther asked, watching as the boy pulled something from his pocket.
"This was clutched in your dead hand when I found you." The boy said, tossing the glass eyes to his brother.
"Must've ripped it out of their head right before you went down."
"Whose head?" Luther asked, his eyes looking back at the brown eye. For a second the eyes looked somewhat familiar but he wasn't sure from where.
"Like I said I don't know." Five sighed, swiping a hand through his hair.
"Well, there's a serial number on the back. Think maybe you could try—" The man pointed out but was cut off by the boy.
"No, that's a dead end. It's just another hunk of glass." The boy bitterly chuckled as Luther passed the eye back to him.
Suddenly the door burst open, the pair looked up to see Diego carrying something limp in his arms.
"You piece of shit." Diego hissed, darkly glaring at his brother. The anger altered Luther as he rose to his feet. The large man's eyes slightly widened at the sight of the limped Nico. Since he was covering Five, the boy wasn't able to see the damage he had done.
