Chapter 1: Reuniting with my Old Friends!

Ash's Pov

*yawns* 'Good morning, Pikachu.'

'Pikaaa' says Pikachu, in a tired manner. 'You must be tired after such a long sleep.' I chuckled. 'Hey, buddy, so did you overhear anything last night through your sleep?' 'Pika!' said Pikachu. 'I assume that means a yes. So, what do you think?' Pikachu thought about it before saying: 'Pikapi!' 'So, you do wanna go? asked Ash. "Y'know what? I'm sure you do, buddy." 'What should I do today, besides going to the flight agency... Oh, I know!' I'll ask Brock and Misty if they wanna hold a party to congratulate me on beating Leon!'

(Ash is talking on the phone) 'So you'll come? asked Ash. 'Of course, Ash. Anything for my friend.' said a familiar voice from the other side. 'OK, Brock!' 'Bye!' said Ash. 'Well, now just Misty and Gary Motherf***ing Oak to say yes.'

Narrator's Pov

Well, both of them accepted, although Gary was harder to convince to come. Ash just wanted to have fun with his childhood friends, for old times' sake.

Ash's Pov

'Hey everyone!' 'How are you all doing?' asked Ash. "I'm doing just fine, Ash!" said Misty. 'Great to hear!' says Ash. "I'm also doing fine, Ash." said Brock. Ash chuckled, as he asked one more person.

'Hey Gary!' 'How are you?' said Ash

'I must say, I was a bit hesitant to come at first but I'm sure this'll be fun!' 'Also, don't forget our deal, ok?' Gary said. I was a bit confused at what he meant, but then remembered. 'You're on!' I said. 'So, have any of you caught any new Pokemon?' I asked. 'Ooh, me first!' said Misty. She threw out a Dewgong, a Poliwag, and a Crawdaunt. 'Whoa, when did you get a Crawdaunt?' I said. 'I actually went to Hoenn last week!' she said. Ash was about to respond, when Misty's Poliwag reminded him of Serena. 'The forest... Serena.. the handkerchief.. finding a Poliwag... how comes out of those four, Serena's the most important? Am I really in "love"? I thought. No one noticed me thinking, so I stopped thinking about her, and went to train a bit in the forest.

Well, I was gonna go do some training until I heard my mom calling me. 'Food's ready, Ash!' said my mom. I went to sit at the table, but soon got lost in thought again. 'Serena... don't worry. I'll be there. While I may not understand what me and you feel, I know that you "love" me-' Ash was awoken by the noise. 'Mrs. Delia, this is some of the best food I've ever had!' said everyone, interrupting his daydream. Ash had already gone back to daydreaming again, just slightly annoyed. 'Thank you, but I wouldn't mind if my son started eating!' said my mom. Everyone was shocked. 'Ash? Not eating? That's not very normal of him...' said Brock. 'Hey Aaaash' Earth to Ash?' said Misty. I woke up. Oh, uh, sorry Misty. How long was I like that?

5. MINUTES. ASH. Misty was obviously stunned. 'I-I'm sorry. I guess I was just daydreaming.'  I said. 'Daydreaming? About what?' asked Gary. 'Well, I guess I'll just tell everyone then.' I took a deep breath.  'So, ever since I became Monarch and came back to Kanto, I've just been feeling like there's something in my life that I'm missing. I just don't know. If it's a something or a someone, if it's something I'll find later, or...' I sighed. 'Oh' said my mom. My mom put her hand on my shoulder. 'Ash Ketchum, you know you could've just told me if something was wrong. I don't know exactly what you're missing, but I'm sure you'll find it someday!' She said. 'Thanks mom.' I said with a face of relief. 'Now, hurry up, or your food will get cold! said my mom. 'OK!' I said as I gobbled down all the food and went back to my bed to keep pondering about well, Serena. 

'Serena, I don't know if you're what I'm missing in my life, or if I just care for you for some reason, but I know we'll meet again. You promised. I-I promised. Wait for me in Kalos while I get there, Serena. Maybe... you're the answer to this. Because, I-I like you. And more than just a friend. More than any friend I've been with. You're just special to me. I promise, that I'll see you again next week.

Luckily for Ash, his promise was going to be fulfilled. (hehe fourth wall break) Will he find Serena and expect her loving arms? Or will she find Ash, and expect him to have a less dense head? We don't know just yet, but either of those will happen.
