I'd like to point out that from now on, all my chapters will be in the third person point of view. If you prefer the first-person point of view, leave a comment below.
Serena made her way down the empty seats and "congratulated" Ash with a peck on the cheek, much to his surprise. Ash was pretty much tired after his battle, so this did cheer him up quite a bit. "S-Serena, I never thought you had it in you to do that. Th-thanks, I guess." Ash said and smiled soon after. "OMA! Did Serena really do that? Looks like my ship has set sail once again!" thought Bonnie.
"That was an amazing battle, Ash!" said Clemont. "It sure was!" said Ash. Ash had battled Clemont before, but this rematch felt special to them, even though Clemont did lose. They went out of Prism Tower to go get some snacks with Serena and Bonnie, even though Serena did have some Poké Puffs in her purse.
She had other plans that she could exeggcute, if Ash really did at least somewhat break his dense head. She was going to make her first move, when suddenly Ash asked her: "Hey Serena, do you wanna go on a walk with me? Y'know, for old times' sake, like we did back then?"
Serena was astonished. She never thought Ash could make a first move on something. Sure, he didn't exactly understand what a date was, but he got the spirit. "I would love to, Ash!" she responded back. They smiled at each other, before taking off to explore the grand Lumiose City. Just her and Ash. Alone. Ash held Serena's hand on the way to what seemingly was a clothing store. Serena was surprised by this.
"You're...taking me...shopping?" asked Serena. Ash was about to say something, when he heard a trainer shout this: "Chesnaught, use Pin Missile!" aiming towards Ash and Serena. "Serena, look out!" Ash said. The Pin Missile collided, separating the two.
"A Chesnaught? There's only one trainer I know that has a Chesnaught. Oh no..." Serena thought, while Ash walked up to her. "Are you OK, Serena?" Ash asked. "Y-Yeah, I'm fine." said Serena. The mysterious boy walked up to them, when Serena realized who he was. "C-Calem?! What are you doing here?" Serena asked. 'Protecting you.' said Calem. "B-But he's my friend!" said Serena. "He is?" Calem said while analyzing who the boy was. "Are you Ash Ketchum?" asked Calem. "Yeah. Why do you ask?" said Ash.
"To think the World Monarch and the Kalos Queen are dating. A step too far, and he might be your Kalos King, sis." replied Calem, while Serena was blushing at the thought. "S-Sis?" asked Ash. "What's your name?" "Calem. Calem Yvonne." said Calem. "No wonder you two are related, you look quite similar to each other." said Ash.
"Well, thank you Ash." Calem replied. "What are you two doing out by yourselves in Lumiose City at 3:00 p.m. anyways? asked Calem. "Well, we were going out on a date." said Serena. Ash didn't understand what "date" meant, but he stuck to saying that instead of a walk. "Well then it's up to me to be your supervisor. Don't worry, I won't tell anyone. Maybe Mom if she asks, but besides that, no one else." Serena didn't like the fact her big brother would be basically spying on them on their date, but her mom didn't make the rule for nothing anyways. She was annoyed at the rule though. Luckily, Ash stepped in.
"What kind of rule is that? How would you feel if she spied on you on a date? Don't worry Serena, I've got your back." he said. "Well, it is my mom's rule, Ash. It's not my fault." Calem said. But he did find it kinda cute Ash was defending his crush. "Fine. How about we settle this with a battle?" said Calem. "But Ashy..." Serena said. "Don't worry, Serena. He might be your brother, but that doesn't mean he has the rights to spy on us for today." said Ash.
Serena had unfortunately not remembered telling Ash about Calem loving battles as well, but she didn't wanna ruin the moment. "You're on!" said Ash. "Perfect. Then how about we go to the battlefield, Ash? Let's make this quick, I don't want Serena to be upset on her date." said Calem. "Alright Calem, I'm looking forward to our battle! said Ash. "Say, Serena. Could you be the referee?" asked Ash. "Of course, Ash!" said Serena. "I'm surprised you make my sis this happy, Ash. She looks like she enjoys being with you." said Calem. Ash blushed at the thought.
To be continued...in Part 2! Also, I didn't plan for this to be split into three parts, but writing battles takes time, and I also wanna go to sleep a bit earlier today, since it's 1:28 a.m. in my country.
