Chapter 2: A Thoughtful Gift

Narrator's Pov

Ash was headed to the flight agency, which was in the airport. Luckily, he was already approaching on his ride. He didn't bother getting mobbed or fangirled over as long as he could reunite with Serena once again. His weekly Monarch pay was given to him yesterday. A total of 250,000 pokedollars.

Ash's Pov

'Here goes nothing, Pikachu.' I said, as I got out of my ride, expecting to be mobbed. And I don't know what I was expecting from a busy airport, because get mobbed I did.

Are you the world Monarch? 

What are your opinions on Pokémon?

Are you single?

Said many fangirls and news reporters.

For some reason, the last question seemed to tick Ash slightly off. Sure, he wasn't mad, since he didn't have a girlfriend himself, but he knew he wanted one, and he knew who it was gonna be. 'Guys, could you please back off a little? I need my personal space, y'know?' said Ash.

OH OK! The reporters and fangirls said. They moved apart and realized how uncomfortable I was, so they respected me and gave me space. You don't see that very often in mobs. I walk to the flight agency, shocking my fans. 

Ash is going somewhere?

Where is he going? 

Is it important?

The fans shrugged as they went away and left me to my business.

'Hello, sir.' said Ash. 'Oh, hello. Your name is...?' asked the flight guy thingy.

'Ash. Ash Ketchum.' I said.

'The Ash? No wonder you were being mobbed outside.' Said the agency guy.

'Well, anyways, I wanna book a flight to Kalos.' I said.

'Kalos, huh? That reminds me... you're the same guy who SAVED Kalos, aren't you? said the agency guy.

'Oh, uh, yeah, not that big of a deal though. It was just a Zygarde, pretty much doomsday caused by Team Flare... no biggie.' said Ash. The flight agent was shocked I talked about pretty much doomsday this casually.  However, my flight plans were confirmed. 'Thank you, sir for your purchase on Flight 943 to Lumiose City, Kalos.' 'Alright!' I shouted.

'I see. 16 years old and yet you still talk and act like a child.' said the agency guy. 'Bye now!'

Narrator's Pov

Ash found a nice store on his way back home, and decided to buy a dress, a necklace, and some Poke Puff ingredients he had never seen before for Serena. This reminded him of when him and Miette went to buy dresses. The dress was similar to some of the dresses Serena used in her Showcases, but with some golden highlights, some pink-ish details, and more. He thought his day would end there and he could go back home, but this time, he got insanely mobbed after the fans realized he was holding a dress.

Ash, are you dating someone?!

Ash, are you in love?!

Ash, who is the stuff for?!

Ash's Pov

'Darn it, these girls are even worse than before, I'll try and back them off.  'Could you guys move away and let me go back to my house?!' 

Who are you giving that to Ash?

'ENOUGH!' Greninja, come out!

'Use Smokescreen!' Greninja made some smoke, and I was able to run away from the fans. 

'I wonder what could've happened if I got like, ran over, and I had them on top of me. I'd be fine if Serena did that to me...wait. What did I just say? I didn't say that at my own will, that's for sure...why did I say that? And what does it mean...' I made it back home, and I've decided to just go to sleep. Gives me more time to think. W-Wait, shouldn't I be putting this dress in the bag before my mom asks? I put it in the bag and my mom opens the door.

'Hello sweetie! I'm glad you're back!' She said, while I was smiling. "Say, who's that bag for?" asked my mom. I basically froze until I came up with the lie of "Oh, uh, I bought some Pokémon figurines!" 'Alright Ash. But leave them in your room, okay? I nodded.

I couldn't believe she fell for that lie! But I am feeling guilty about it...

Narrator's Pov

Meanwhile, Ash's mom actually faked a reaction so that Ash would believe it and go to his room, relieved. She saw a dress in there. She needed to know.

Delia's Pov

A dress? Hmmmmmmm.... who could it be for? Did my Ashy find himself a keeper or is this about- Delia froze. What he's missing... is love. But this dress looks familiar. Reminds me of Pokémon Showcases in Kalos, and a certain honey-blonde girl. What was her name... Serena? Ah, yes. Wait. She looks kind of familiar to me.... Isn't she the same girl from the summer camp? The same Serena my Ashy helped? Why would he want a similar dress to Serena's? Is she what he's missing? Is it a gift? I said excitedly. *sighs* I suppose I'll ask him tomorrow.. I already know either way.

These chapters are gonna be pretty short like the previous one, since I don't wanna make them "I Wanna Be The Very Best" long (those were 2 hours each by the way, and there's 116 chapters in that one).
