Chapter 18: An Alolan Sleepover!

Ash and Serena woke up the next day at 5:00 a.m., getting ready for school. "Good morning, Sere." said Ash. He kissed Serena's forehead. "Hehe~" said Serena. "So, you ready for school today?" asked Ash.

Serena had completely forgotten why she had woken up at 5:00 a.m., and that sentence made her remember. "Oh yeah...I forgot about that..." said Serena. "Well, we need to be there before 7:00, so take your sweet time." said Ash.

"Ok!" Serena said. But then she thought of something. "Hey, Ash~~~what do Combees make?" she asked suspiciously. "Uhh....honey?" said Ash. "Yes, Ashy?" said Serena. Ash couldn't believe he just fell for one of the oldest tricks in the book.

He was blushing, which he usually never did. "L-let's just go eat, kay?" said Ash.

"Oh, wait! Before eating, I wanna show my Alolan Pokemon to you! They were sleeping when we got here last night...so they don't know I'm here yet. They went to the living room and were greeted by Ash's Pokémon.

His team was Rowlet, Melmetal, Incineroar, and Lycanroc. They all pounced on him, excited to see him again. "Guys, stop!" said Ash. They stopped. "So, this is Rowlet! He's a heavy sleeper, he liked to sleep in my backpack...and he's a Grass/Flying Pokemon!" said Ash. Rowlet took an instant liking to Serena, and went to sit on her shoulder.

"Aww, he's so cute! What else?" said Serena. This is Lycanroc! It used to be the Professor's Pokemon, but he had never caught it. He let me catch it instead! Then, when we went to Akala Island, Rockruff was acting up. Then, it wandered off without us! We found it with Tapu Lele. Then, a green flash happened."

"What's a green flash?" asked Serena. "Oh, it's a time when the sun turns green. Rockruff looked at it, howled, and he evolved into this new form of Lycanroc! It's called a Dusk Form Lycanroc. I'm the only person that has it." said Ash. "Huh. You're always so unique and special, aren't you, Ash?" said Serena.

"I guess..." said Ash. "W-Well, this is Incineroar! I met him as a Litten back in town...and then found him living with a Stoutland. We kept visiting frequently, until... Stoutland got sick. Very sick, actually.

They tried to cure him at the Pokemon Center, but...he.......died. And ever since then, I decided to take care of Litten and train it. It evolved into Torracat while facing the Professor...and then evolved into Incineroar also against the Professor.

And finally, Melmetal. It all started when a big group of Meltan showed up in school. I eventually caught one of them, and it got an instant liking to Rowlet. Meltan also love to eat metal. It evolved when I was at the Pokemon League, and my mom came to see me.

And that's all my Alolan team!" Ash said. He put them back in their Pokeballs, and transferred them to his HOME until he left Alola.

They went to eat and set out for Pokemon School. "So, what's the school like?" asked Serena.

"Well, there's a big campus with a river, and there's a tree you can climb and dive off of into the water. Classes take around 40 minutes-ish each...there's the principal's Komala that rings the school bell...and yeah! It's honestly pretty cool!" said Ash.

"Well, what else should I know?" asked Serena. "Oh, uh...could you like, keep our relationship a secret? I kinda wanna surprise them with it...like, we seem like just friends, but we're a bit closer than usual...and then when they ask...we'll kiss~" Ash said, when he winked at Serena.

"Oh, ok, Ashy~" she replied back. "Well, we're here. Everyone is probably waiting at the classroom.

~At the classroom...

"So, apparently Ash is coming back here!" said Sophocles. "Really?! Finally, a worthy opponent! Our battles will be legendary!" said Kiawe. "Kiawe, don't get too excited...it's just a battle..." said Mallow.
