MEETING ROOM
LOS ANGELES

"Sorry I am late; traffic was bad," the client said, coming in. "I'm Bryan Smith, Vice President of Maluma Inc. I'm sorry to inform you that Mr. Maluma couldn't make it today so that I will be here on his behalf," he said. "Oh well, it is nice to meet I'm Alama, and this is Jenna. She's the manager of the finance program that will help you with meeting your budget goal," Alama said

"Nice to meet you both, and on behalf of Maluma, we are excited to be working with you both," he said, smiling. They took a seat and started talking. Jenna had come up with a plan for the company and what she would offer to help them succeed in this next chapter of their future.

"We love your ideas, and the layout plan is great. I will show my boss everything and will give you guys a call in the morning," he said, getting up and shaking both ladies' hands. "Thank you for coming, and we hope to hear from you soon," Alama said walking Bryan out Jenna went back to her office

"This such a cute dog, when did you get her." her assistant asked. "Yesterday," she said. Jenna wasn't big on letting people at work know her business. She always kept straightforward with them. "I'm going to be leaving early. If anybody needs me, let them; I will be back tomorrow," Jenna said, walking out of the office with her dog as she got to the parking garage, "let's go home," she said to her puppy. She drove home, but on the way home, she stopped to get something puppy

as she exited the car and walked inside the PetSmart, "Jenna?" she turned at the sound of someone calling her name. Marli, Aria's sister, met her. Jenna loved her like her own sister. "Marli?" she said in a shook "What are you doing here?" she said she didn't think both his siblings would be here in LA. "my brother moved here, so me and I have been helping him move into his place," Marli said

Jenna figured that one of the brothers was moving here, and just as she was going to respond, her phone went off. She looked down and saw a call from Dustin. She rolled her eyes. She didn't have a real problem with him, but she felt he didn't want to give her space. He would call her 10 times in one day at first. She thought it was cute, but now she was starting to get annoyed. "No boyfriend?" she said, looking over at her phone.

"No, a guy I went out on a date with," she said, putting her phone on Do Not Disturb. "It was my first real date in 4 years," she said truthfully. "First? you didn't dater anybody after Arias?" Marli asked. Jenna sighed. "yeah, I wasn't ready to date, and honestly, I don't think I ever will be," she sighed. "It was so nice to see you again, but I got to get my new puppy stuff and get home. See you around," Jenna said, walking away and not allowing her to reply.

Jenna grabbed all the things she needed before going to the cashier. She checked out, went to her car, got in, and drove home. Her phone went off, and she looked down as she stopped at a red light; she had four missed calls from Dustin and ten unread messages. 2: They were from Kate, and the rest were from Dustin. She rolled her eyes and put the phone back down. She made it home and parked in her spot

she got out of the car and walked into the lobby. As she went in, she stopped when she saw Dustin by the front desk. "Are you sure she's not home?" he asked the front desk lady. "Yes, sir, I'm sure she's not home." Jenna turned around, bumping into a person. She looked up and saw Arias. He looked into her eyes and saw her plead for help

he looked up and saw the guy from the other night. He took the hat he was wearing and put it on her head. Pulling it down, he held her hand and walked past him. Dustin didn't bother to look at them. "I know she's here; I can see her car. Herget her down here or else," he said, threatening the front desk. The door closed before they could hear anything else, and she took a deep breath. She relaxed. She felt comfortable with him.

"You can let my hand go now, darling," he said softly and with a smile. Jenna looked down and noticed she was holding onto his hand. She let go. "Sorry," she said, looking down. He smiled to himself. She cleared her throat. "Thank you for helping me, Arias," she said, and before he could reply, the doors opened, and she got off as fast as possible.

She walked to her apartment and past her new neighbor's apartment. His door was open. She looked in, making her stop dead in her tracks. She started at the picture she once knew all too well; she looked behind her and saw Arias leaning on the wall near the door. She looked at him and back at the picture

she snapped out of it. "Boss," a guy said, walking up to Arias. She shook her head. "Something went down at the restaurant. We need you," the guy said. She mentally hit her face, and she forgot he owned a restaurant. "I'm coming," he said, not noticing Jenna. She sighed and walked to her apartment. As she was going in, she looked at him before walking inside her apartment
