"Jenna, please come with me!?!" My sister Lilly begged me. I looked at her and rolled my eyes. "Why do you want me to come? Don't you have friends you could bring with you?" I said, putting my books away. "Eww, no, I'm not inviting those whores to meet my boyfriend. Please, he's going to bring his friend with him," she said, trying to convince me to go.

"Please, Jenna, I promise if you come with me, I will do anything you want; please just come with me," she said, pulling on my arm. She gave me a puppy dog look. I smacked my lips. "Fine, Lilly, I will go," she jumped up and down in excitement. "Thank you," she said, trying to hug me.

I put my hands up. "No need. What time are we leaving?" I asked, looking in my closet for something to wear. "In an hour, so hurry up," she said, running out of my room. I rolled my eyes. She was lucky I had showered already. I turned to my closet, pulled out a skirt and a black long-sleeve shirt, and put the outfit on. I looked at myself in the mirror.

"You look good," I whispered to myself. I put my shoes on and sprayed myself with my favorite Chanel perfume. I didn't do my hair; I just left it in its wavy condition. I grabbed my purse and phone, left my room, and entered the living room. Both my parents were sitting on the couch watching the news. "That's an ugly outfit," my mother said. I rolled my eyes, ignoring her.

I pulled my phone out and started texting my best friend, Kayla. Lilly came downstairs. "Lilly bear, you look so beautiful," my mother said, looking at Lilly with a big smile. You need to help your sister with her outfit," she said, mugging me; Lilly loomed at me and rolled her eyes. "Mom, she looks fine to stop it," she said, defending me.

"We are leaving, don't wait up," she said, grabbing my hand and pulling me towards her car. We got in and drove off to the diner. It was a long drive since the restaurant was 10 minutes from our house; she parked the car, "invited a few more friends so you'll have few choices, and thank you again," she said, getting out of the vehicle. I followed behind my sister as

we walked into the diner. "RIGHT HERE, BABE!" we turned our heads to her boyfriend. She pulled me towards the table. "Hey everyone, this is my sister Jenna; Jenna, this is Derrick, Luis, Rick, and Arias," my sister said, introducing everyone. As I looked down the line of boys, his eyes stared deep into my eyes like he was trying to figure me out

I looked at him. He was tall, even telling by how he was sitting. He had a few tattoos; his hair was low-cut and platinum blonde, and he wore a black t-shirt and black jeans. He was keeping it simple. My sister pulled me down, snapping me out of my thoughts by being pulled down by my sister. His eyes never left me, and neither did mine

everyone was talking to one another except me. I didn't know what to say to them. I looked around the diner and noticed an arcade. I returned to the table and noticed some of the guys had left. My sister and her boyfriend were too busy making out, I rolled my eyes.

I looked around the diner, debating on going to the arcade. "Come on, let go," the colored guy said, standing before me. I looked up at him, and he held his hand out. "I'll go with you," he said, nodding towards the arcade room. I hesitated for a minute before giving in and touching his. He pulled me gently up. We walked hand in hand together to the arcade room

we walked around the room till I found a game I wanted to play, and we took a seat. He put two quarters in, and the game started. "What's your name?" he asked me. I looked at him and back at the game. "Jenna.... what about you?" I asked in a low tone but loud enough that he heard me. "Arias," he said, "Arias. I like that name," I said to myself, or so I thought. "I like your name too," he said with a smirk. My eyes grew big. "I said that out loud?" I said, covering my face. He chuckled and removed my hands from my face.

"No need to cover your beautiful face," he said, licking his lips and grinning. "How about we go back to the table and get some food," he said, looking at me intensely. I nodded, and he grabbed my hand again, and we walked back to the table. "I was wondering where you all went. Come one, we going to take a picture to remember this night," Lilly said, grabbing me by my wrist and pulling me outside; Arias was following behind

"Hey, could you take our picture?" she asked some lady standing by. She agreed everyone lined up since Lilly and I were the shortest; we stood in the front. Her boyfriend was behind her, holding her. She was happy, which made me smile.

I felt a pair of arms wrap around my waist. I looked up and noticed Arias looking forward with a big smile. He looked down, seeing me staring at him. He removed his hands and moved my head towards the camera. "You don't want the camera to take a picture of you staring at me, do you?" he whispered. "I mean, I don't mind your beautiful self-staring at me," he said with a smile. I rolled my eyes.

I felt his arms wrap back around me, and we all smiled at the camera. After five pictures later, Lilly finally liked the last one. "I'll send over one of these to y'all," she said, looking at her phone. I turned around and went back into the diner. I took a seat at the table. I heard someone take a seat also. I didn't bother looking up, assuming it was my sister.

"Hey, I'm Lisa, your waitress. Can I get you started on drinks?" She said I would respond but was cut off by his voice. "I'll take a water," he said in a deep tone. I looked at him and then back at the waitress. "I'll take a water also," I simply said, looking at him. He wouldn't take his eyes off me, and I honestly didn't want him to

"You in school, darling," he asked, not taking his eyes off me. "Yeah, I'm a senior," I said in a whisper, but loud enough he could hear. He smiled at my shyness. "You are adorable when you shy," he said. I cleared my throat and looked over at him. He had so many tattoos I tried counting them but gave up. "Umm...how many tattoos do you have?" I said, sounding nervous

He chuckled and moved a little closer, smiling. "25 so far. I want more, though," he said, looking over his arms and back at me. He smiled. "Tell me a little about yourself," he asked me. "I'm 17, still in school. I work at the corner store by my house. My birthday is in 2 weeks," I said. He looked at me, smiling. "2 weeks, huh?" He said, smiling. "So exciting," I rolled my eyes.

I hated my birthday. My parents never did anything for my birthday. I constantly spent my birthday alone. "Why are you not excited about it?" He said, confused. I sighed, "I'm always alone on my birthday, plus nobody ever celebrates my birthday," I said, shrugging my shoulders. He looked at me, confused. He was going to respond but was cut off by Lilly. "Jenna, we got to go moms in the hospital," she said, grabbing my arm and pulling me out of the booth. Arias got up and followed behind us.

We made it to the car as I was going to open the door, but he grabbed my hand. "Here," he handed me a piece of paper. "Call me as soon as possible, beautiful," he said, winking at me and smiling. He opened my door. I got in, and he closed it and backed away. Looking at me, my sister started the car and drove off. I looked back and noticed him still staring at the car.
