It had been five days since the incident with Dustin happened. Jenna had blocked him and told her building to call the cops if he was to show up. She hadn't talked to Arias since that night, and the worry for him had grown, so she asked the lady in the lobby if she had seen him around.

"No, Jenna, I haven't seen him," she said. Jenna sighed. "Thank you, though." She walked out of the building and to her car. Her phone started going off, and she looked at the phone and rolled her eyes. She picked it up. "Yes, mother?" She said in an annoying tone

She didn't like talking to her mother because she only called when she needed money or wanted to bug her about marrying this guy from back home. "I just talked to Beck's family, and we have agreed on a date for the wedding. It would be best if you came back home," she said. Jenna rolled her eyes.

"I told you I'm not marrying that man," she said, defiantly crossing her arms. Jenna Gabrielle Diaz, you will not speak to me like that!" Her mother yelled through the phone. Jenna was about to retort, but something or someone caught her eye. Arias's tall figure approached her. He leaned up against her car. They both locked eyes. He had that devilish smile on his face.

"Jenna...Jenna. JENNA!" Her mother yelled louder. "Yes, Mom, I'm here," she said, not taking her eyes off of him. "If you're not home by the end of the week, I'm sending your brother out there to get you," she said Jenna broke eye contact with Arias and looked at her phone "you don't even know where I'm at so good luck with that" she said chuckling "514 South Blvd. Dr" her mother said she can just feel the smile on her face

Jenna's eyes widened. She looked at her phone, threw it on the floor, and started stomping. Arias looked down and back up at her, confused. "I have to go," she said, getting into her car and pulling off. She drove to the only person she knew could help her in this situation.

She parked her car and got out, banging on the door. After what felt like hours, the door opened "Girl, I almost beat your ass banging on my door like you, the police," her best friend Kayla said "mymotherisgonnasendmybrothertomyapartment complextodragmebacktoNewYork!" She said fast

Kayla looked at her with a confused look. "Okay, slow down and calm down, Jenna. Tell me slowly what is going on." she took a deep breath and let it out before speaking, "My mother is sending my brother to drag me back to New York," she said

Jenna knew her mother all too well, and she knew she would do it. "She doesn't even know where you live, Jenna," Kayla said, trying to reassure her. She doesn't even know where I stay. She said it to me on the phone. Kayla. I need to move," she said, looking at her.

"I destroyed my phone. I need a new phone, car, and house immediately, please," she said, begging Kayla. "Jenna, I got you. Leave the car here and take this one. I'll get everything set up tomorrow. Start packing, though," she said. Jenna nodded her head. She grabbed the keys and walked out to the car.
