Very angsty and involves an injury and some ptsd; you're the medic!

A hazy smoke fills the air around the base on Teth. The blaster fire has stopped. The skirmish is over.

You grab your medpack and scramble around the debris, coughing up dirt. You're about to comm your fellow medics when you hear a scream a ways away. You run.

You see a gray armored body sprawled out on the dirt ground, and recognize it as Echo. You drop your medpack beside him and hurriedly hover over his body, tearing off his helmet.

Echo tries to control his panicked breathing as your eyes spot a blaster wound on his stomach.

"Echo, keep your eyes on me," you firmly order as you take off his armor. Echo obeys, his breaths becoming quicker and quicker.

Echo's eyes widen as you rip apart the top of his blacks, leaving his nasty wound exposed to the elements. You pull your medpack closer and dig out the tools you need.

You apply pressure on his wound. Echo yells and swats his arm against yours in a panic. He squirms as hard as he can under your grasp. He can barely take in a breath.

"ECHO!" You glare down at him, trying your best to apply pressure to his wound despite his jerking and swatting arms.

You lean closer to his face, "Echo, STOP! Look at me! I'm not going to hurt you!" Echo stops for a second, gazing into your face. He shakily breathes in and out, watching you.

You look down at his wound, reaching for something to clean his wound with before lifting your hand away. The second you start cleaning his wound, Echo screams and pushes your face away with his good hand.

You glare at him again, and this time, decide to sit on his thighs so he doesn't squirm so much. "Echo, I don't want to hold you down, but you're making this a little difficult!"

Echo mutters through the pain, "There's nothing wrong with me."

You look into his face with pure desperation, "Echo, I'm trying to help you. Please let me fix this."

Echo grunts and sits up, pushing you off his lap as he shouts into your face, "THERE'S NOTHING WRONG WITH ME!!!"

With a pained expression, he slowly stands up, hunching over and grasping at his open wound. You reach up for him as you scramble to stand up, "Echo! Echo, please!"

You grab onto Echo's shoulder and tug as hard as you can to keep him in place. Echo bumps hips with you to shove you away.

With frustration reaching its boiling point, you grab for his blaster and set it to stun. You fire. He falls to the ground.

Echo lands with his face in the dirt. You run to his side, holding back tears, and push him over so you can work on his wound.

Finally, you clean his wound. "I'm so sorry, Echo. For everything."

You reach for a bacta patch and safely secure it in place. You breathe a deep sigh of relief and lean over Echo's limp body, letting your forehead and arm rest on his upper chest. A tear slips down your cheek as you wait for Echo to wake up.
