Kat stepped in to the captain's quarters later that night. She saw Jack staring at the tattered image of the key he'd shown them hours ago. "Jack, are you okay?"

He jolted at the sound of her voice and quickly folded away the cloth. "Better than okay luv. Saved a damsel in distress and off on another adventure. What is there no to be okay about?" He said quickly, flailing his arms about.

But, there was something off. Kat could sense Jack's nervous behavior. This was the most hunted pirate in all of the Spanish Main but nothing made him nervous like this. "Jack... I thought you and I were past this."

"Past what, luv?" He looked at the raven-haired girl.

She sighed, "Past the whole 'sparing you my worries' act. You and I have sailed seas and fought undead pirates. You have gotten me in to more of a bloody mess than any other man. Do not start sparing my worries now. Not after everything we have gone through."

Jack saw Kat's demeanor change. This woman was not playing games right now. Something inside of him stirred. This woman cares for me, he thought to himself. She was telling the truth. Since when did he worry for anyone enough to hold back his burdens? He had dragged her through the mud and she was still standing tall, demanding answers. Like hell was he going to deny them from her. He lowered his eyes to stare at the candle in front of him, "I'm in trouble lassie."

"Yes and I am part mermaid. What else is new?" She gave a small laugh and walked towards the desk in which he was sitting at. Seeing his unwavering stare towards the orange glow, she realized this was no joke. "... How much trouble, Jack?"

"What do you know of Davy Jones?" He remained unmoved.

She gave a small huff, "I told you earlier, not much. All I know of him is that he's a myth, a horror story friends whisper about to keep each other up at night. Davy Jones and his Flying Dutchman were the root of all my nightmares."

Jack's stare turned in to a hard glare. "He is anything but a myth. My nightmares come from memories of him and his god-forsaken vessel. Not made up stories. His face haunts me and his still bloody following me until this day."

"Jack..."

"He gave me The Pearl and I promised him my soul." He bit back at her.

"And now he's coming to collect isn't he." Jack stayed silent. "But you're not going down without a fight are you?"

He stood up from his desk and gave his partner a small smirk. "Sometimes I think you forget who I am, luv."

She nodded smiling sadly. "Believe me, I never forget." She reached over the desk and picked up the tattered cloth with the image of the key. "I don't know what this is or why it's important but I will help you get it. I just need your word that you will help us save Elizabeth in return."

He gently grasped his bandaged hand over hers and held the image of the key between them. "You have my word, Katherine Williams."

She smiled big at the sound of her full name. There was not a doubt in her mind now that she and Jack were now tethered. "Thank you, Jack." She felt the ship jolt to a stop and he collapsed in to Jack's arms.

She opened her mouth to say something but Jack quickly hushed her up. "We're here! Now luv let me ask you this, would you rather me carry you off the ship or walk on your own."

"Can't you try to be decent for a moment." She pushed herself off of the handsome pirate. "Now where exactly is 'here'?"

"Just follow me luv." He walked out in front of her.

The sight of a dark swampy area met Kat. The only sounds were the sounds of frogs jumping from one mossy rock the next croaking. At the end of the swamp stood a small shack. Kat found Will and sat next to him as they rowed a few different light boats towards the shack.
