"Will I didn't get to say goodbye to her!" Kat yelled as Will pulled her arm along.

"There isn't any time Kat we have to go!" Will said as he continued to walk forward. "What did Beckett want with you? Threaten you with the noose?"

"No even worse. He threatened me with marriage."

Will stopped and looked back at his black haired friend bewildered, "Marriage? To who?" He yelled.

"To him."

Will nearly gagged at the words. What a vile creature Beckett was. "More incentive to get to Jack faster then." He pulled her again.

"Ya it's just a broken compass I'm sure it won't be to hard to get back. Right?"

"Right." Will said hesitantly.

Kat could tell that Will was only telling her the things she wanted to hear but she couldn't blame him.

"So... You're a mermaid huh?" Will said trying to change the conversation.

Kat gave him a weird look, "You found that out a while ago. " she paused to laugh a little, "Why are you bringing it up now?"

"We never even talked about it and it's kind of a big deal."

"It's a long story Will. It was like 15 years ago or something. There was a strange woman, she gave me a long speech about how I was special and then she turned me in to a fish. 'By land one thing and by sea another'. I wanted to tell you but there wasn't ever a good time and it wasn't something I wanted to bring up unless I had to." Kat finished releasing a deep breath.

Will simply nodded. They walked up on to the docks and boarded the ship.

"Will where do we even start? Jack could be anywhere doing anything right now!" Kat yelled as Will made his way down to the front of the ship.

"Where a pirate always goes to find an able bodied crew. Tortuga."

"Tortuga? You've been before Will? I mean I hear it's a filthy place full of prostitutes and rum... Of course Tortuga is every pirates safe haven."

"Where do you think my first stop with Jack was when I first came to get you and Elizabeth." He threw a smirk in her direction.

She rolled her eyes and muttered, "Typical pirates."

Upon their arrival, Kat could only think one thing, 'This is pirate paradise'. Unwashed, fitly pirates stumbled down the dirt street most of them having a tight dress wearing prostitute on their arm. Many pirates laid in the streets passed out from drinking too much. Others were a part of the fights and brawls that regularly played out in the streets and bars.

"Well this is very... gross." Kat said as she stepped off the boat.

"Watch what you say here Kat. Besides this is your lovers favorite place to be." He grinned mockingly at her.

"Let's just start asking around. Someone's bound to have seen Jack." Kat quickly got back to the point.

The process in finding Jack was harder than Kat had imagined. One older man on the docks had replied with a shrug, "Captain Jack Sparrow? Owes me four doubloons. Heard he was dead."

"Singapore, that's what I heard. Drunk, with a smile. Sure as a tide, Jack Sparrow, turned up in Singapore."

"Jack Sparrow," A blonde prostitute said annoyed, "haven't seen him in a month. Not since the slip up."

"What slip up?" Kat inquired.

"I tried to take him to bed," Kat had to take a deep breath to hide the jealousy she felt. Had he already forgotten about her? Stupid pirate. "Anyways," the prostitute continued, "he kept drawing his attention else where and muttering another woman's name. I couldn't let him have his way with me if he was calling me Kat could I? No. So I kicked him out and haven't seen him since."

"Okay too much information but thank you." Will said as he quickly escorted Kat away. Kat was slightly disgusted but relieved that Jack had still thought about her.

The dark-skinned sailor sat on a barrel near a ship that floated in the water in the background behind him as he fixed a net. His voice was deep and had a sort of Jamaican accent. "Can't say about Jack Sparrow, but this island just south of the straits where I trade spice for... delicious, long pork." For a brief second the sailor paused as if he was remember the 'delicious long pork' before continuing on. "Cannot say about Jack. But you'll find that ship there. A ship with black sails."

Kat could not contain her excitement for this new information so she quickly jumped on the man giving him a quick hug. "Thanks!" She yelled as she ran back to the boat with William.

'Here I come Jack.'
