"Love, why are you avoiding me?" Alex asked, glancing over at Kevin, who sat quietly in the passenger seat. They were on their way to Alex's home for dinner, as his mother had requested.
"I'm not," Kevin whispered, eyes cast downward.
Alex wasn't convinced. "Is it because you think you didn't do well with the... blowjob?" His voice softened as he placed a reassuring hand on Kevin's thigh, giving it a gentle squeeze.
Kevin's face flushed with embarrassment as he shyly nodded. "Where did that confident side go, huh? Back to being shy, love?" Alex teased with a smirk."Don't say that. It's embarrassing," Kevin mumbled, finally turning to meet Alex's gaze. He shifted uncomfortably in his seat, clearly uneasy with the conversation. "Sorry if I made things awkward. I won't do that again," he added quietly.
Alex shook his head, giving Kevin's hand a light squeeze. "Don't apologize. It wasn't awkward for me, and I'm not going anywhere. You don't have to feel bad about it. You're amazing, and I mean that."
Kevin gave him a soft smile, squeezing Alex's hand in return. "Thank you, love," he whispered.
Alex blinked, pulling the car over to the side of the road in surprise. He turned to Kevin with a grin. "What did you just call me?"
Kevin realized what had just slipped out and blushed. "I won't call you 'love' if you don't like it," he said, suddenly shy.
Alex laughed. "No! I love it. From now on, always call me 'love'!"
Kevin chuckled, seeing Alex so giddy. "Love... love... love," he said teasingly, enjoying the way Alex blushed even more.
Alex, usually so confident, turned beet red. "Stop it!" he whined with a laugh.
Kevin, enjoying his reaction, leaned over and hugged Alex, despite them being in public. "You're just too cute sometimes," he whispered before placing a quick kiss on Alex's cheek and sliding back into his seat.
Still blushing, Alex shook his head in disbelief. "You're impossible."
"Come on, keep driving. Your parents are waiting for us," Kevin teased, giggling as Alex pulled back onto the road.

When they arrived at Alex's house, he quickly got out of the car and walked around to open the door for Kevin.
"You never let me open the door myself," Kevin pouted as he stepped out.
"Of course I won't, not as long as I'm alive," Alex said, taking Kevin's hand and guiding him to the front door. "Why don't you ring the bell, love?"
Kevin nodded shyly and rang the bell. A few moments later, the door swung open, revealing a woman who looked to be in her mid 40s, smiling warmly.
"Hello! Please, come in," Alex's mother, Ruby, greeted them, stepping aside to let them in. Kevin saw a man, also in his mid 40s, lounging on the couch. The man got up and walked over, slipping an arm around Ruby's waist.
"Welcome to the Davis residence, young man. I'm Matt, Alex's father, and this beautiful woman is my wife, Ruby," he said, extending a hand for Kevin to shake.
Kevin shook Matt's hand, feeling a little nervous. "Hello, Sir. Ma'am. Thank you for having me."
"Of course!" Ruby smiled, patting Kevin on the shoulder. "I hope you boys came hungry!"
"We sure did, Mom," Alex replied, his tone relaxed.
"Well, let's head to the dining room. We were waiting for you two, but you took your sweet time getting here," Ruby teased, shooting Alex a knowing glance as they walked to the dining room.
As they followed, Alex leaned in close to Kevin, whispering, "It's all thanks to Dad that you didn't have to hear something embarrassing."
Kevin frowned, confused. "What do you mean?"
"If Dad hadn't stopped her, she would've probably made some comment about us being late because we were, you know, before coming over," Alex smirked as he whispered the last part, causing Kevin to blush.
"Stop teasing me!" Kevin hissed, his face flushed with embarrassment. "What if your parents hear us?"
Alex laughed. "Just look at them," he gestured toward his parents, who were still flirting with each other. "They're always like this. I'm just glad you're here, so I don't have to deal with them alone. Now I can stare at you instead."
Kevin playfully hit Alex on the shoulder. "I said stop teasing me!" Alex chuckled softly. "Alright, alright. No more teasing."
As they all sat down to eat, Matt took the head of the table, with Ruby on his right, Alex on his left, and Kevin beside Alex. Throughout dinner, Alex kept his hand resting on Kevin's thigh under the table, giving it a gentle squeeze every now and then, much to Kevin's quiet annoyance.
"I hope school's going well for both of you," Ruby said, getting up to clear the plates. "Yeah, everything's going fine, Mom," Alex answered.
Kevin stood up, gently removing Alex's hand from his leg. "I'll help your mom," he whispered to Alex, who pouted slightly but nodded in agreement.
As Kevin helped Ruby in the kitchen, Alex turned to his dad, who was smirking at him.
"When did you start acting like a puppy, huh?" Matt teased. "I haven't seen you look like that since you were a little kid."
Alex smiled, his eyes soft. "I guess love makes you act like a kid again." Matt stood up, patting his son on the back. "He's special. Don't lose him."
"I won't, Dad. Either he's going to be your son-in-law, or you'll never get one," Alex joked, laughing. But deep down, he meant every word.
