It was the afternoon, the sun shining brightly and making everyone sweaty. Kevin sat at the back of his classroom, staring out the window. He was exhausted, desperate for sleep, but he still had one more class to go. Kevin hadn't slept well the night before— he and Alex had been on a video call, silently admiring each other until Kevin dozed off, and they finally hung up.
Suddenly, his phone vibrated in his pocket. He pulled it out and smiled when he saw Alex's name pop up under 'Al <3'. Glancing at the teacher, he rested his head on the desk, hiding his phone call.
"Hello," he whispered.
"Hey, love. Can I ask you for a favor?" Alex's voice was soft. He had skipped class today to catch up on sleep.
"If I can do it, sure, but be quick. I'm still in class, and if the teacher catches me, I'll be in detention," Kevin whispered back.
"Love, can you skip the last class? I want to take you somewhere. Please," Alex pleaded.
Kevin bit his lip. He wanted to skip class, but his attendance mattered too. "Is it really important? Can't you wait till I finish?""Please, I promise you won't regret it if you come with me," Alex's voice was practically begging.
Kevin sighed. "Okay. I'll see you at the back gate." Without waiting for a reply, he hung up.
"Mr. Ross, is everything okay? You've been keeping your head down for a while," the teacher suddenly asked.
Kevin lifted his head and put on an act. "I think I have a migraine," he said, massaging his temples.
"Well, what are you waiting for? Go to the nurse, young man," the teacher replied, turning back to the lesson. Kevin grinned, grabbed his things, and headed for the door. Before leaving, he glanced at his best friend, Alin, who was smirking at him from across the room.
Alin knew the migraine excuse was fake. She raised an eyebrow and mouthed, "Use protection."
Kevin's eyes widened, and he blushed furiously. "Shut up," he mouthed back, waving goodbye to her before heading to meet Alex at the back gate.

"Please, love, I promise you won't regret it," Alex had said on the phone. He heard Kevin sigh and agree before the call ended abruptly. Alex smiled and started jumping with excitement.
"Who's got my son jumping like that?" Alex's mom asked, smiling as she entered the room. She had been in the kitchen but heard his excited footsteps.
"Your future son-in-law, mom. Damn, why is he so cute?" Alex gushed.
Just then, his father walked in. "Are you two having a family meeting without me?" he teased.
"When are you bringing him to meet us? I've seen the pictures you drew of him, but I want to meet him in person," his mom said.
"Soon, mom. I'll bring him after I tell him the truth," Alex replied. "By the way, I'm skipping dinner tonight. I'm taking him out for a surprise date." With that, Alex dashed towards the door.
"Don't forget to use protection, son! You two are still young!" his father shouted after him. Alex's mom playfully hit her husband's arm. "Babe, don't tease him."
"I'm not teasing! If his guy were here, Alex would be fighting me for making him blush," his dad laughed. "Ah, young love. Watching him reminds me of the days I courted you."
Alex's mom blushed. "Shut up, you old man. You don't need to flirt with me anymore—I'm already yours." She hurried back to the kitchen, her face flushed with fondness.—
As Alex got into his black Lamborghini, he chuckled to himself, hearing his parents' little quarrel. "They never stop flirting," he thought. He drove off to Kevin's school, where he spotted Kevin waiting at the back gate, looking a bit annoyed.
"Did I do something wrong?" Alex wondered as he parked. He quickly got out and walked up to Kevin. "Let's go, love," he said, reaching for Kevin's hand.
But Kevin pulled away. "What's wrong, love?" Alex asked as they both got into the car.
"I thought you'd come earlier," Kevin muttered. "You rushed me out of class, but you showed up 30 minutes late. I missed a class for this."Alex started the car and laughed. "Well, my mom overheard our call and asked when I was bringing you home to meet them. I was about to leave when I got distracted by my parents flirting. It was hilarious."
"Your parents want to meet me? What if they don't like me? Alex, what am I going to do?" Kevin asked, his frustration slipping through as he imagined meeting Alex's parents.
Alex laughed harder. "Don't worry, love. They'll adore you—just not as much as I do." He winked at Kevin, easing the tension.Kevin rolled his eyes but couldn't help smiling. "Anyway, where are we going?"
"I told you, it's a surprise. Now go to sleep. You barely slept last night and still went to class."Alex gently took Kevin's hand and kissed it. Kevin nodded, leaning back into the seat. "Good night then," he whispered, quickly drifting into a peaceful sleep.
