It was five in the evening when Kevin finally finished unpacking his boxes at the condo. He was excitedly baking a mini cake to celebrate him and Alex moving in together, even if he wouldn't admit it. Just as he finished icing the cake, his phone chimed with a text "Al <3." A smile spread across his face as he quickly washed his hands and answered the call.
"Hello!" he chirped.
"Love, I'm downstairs, but I can't get the entrance gate to open! What should I do?" Alex whined, his voice tinged with frustration. Kevin chuckled softly, his heart warming at the sound of Alex's voice. "Just wait there! I'll come get you."
He grabbed his keys, switched off the kitchen light, and dashed down the stairs. When he reached the door, he flung it open to find Alex waiting impatiently.
"Finally!" Alex exclaimed, wrapping his arms around Kevin in a tight embrace.
"Whoa, we're outside, love," Kevin said, taken aback.
"Sorry, I just missed you," Alex murmured, stepping back with a sheepish smile.
Kevin brushed his fingers through Alex's hair affectionately. "Let's head inside," he said, lacing their fingers together as they walked up the stairs.
As they entered the dimly lit room, Kevin made his way toward the switchboard, but before he could reach it, Alex pulled him back, pinning him against the door.
"I missed you," Alex whispered, his breath warm against Kevin's face.
"I missed you too," Kevin replied, closing his eyes in anticipation.
Slowly, Alex leaned in, capturing Kevin's lips in a gentle kiss. His hands cradled Kevin's face as if it were made of glass. In response, Kevin wrapped his arms around Alex's neck, pulling him closer. Alex walked backward until he sank onto the couch, taking Kevin with him.
They pulled apart, and Kevin settled into Alex's lap, squeezing him tightly. "It feels like years have passed since I last saw you," he murmured, burying his face in Alex's shoulder.
"I felt that too," Alex replied, running his fingers through Kevin's hair. They held each other in a warm embrace, relishing the moment, until Kevin reluctantly pulled away.
"I made something, but it's not much," Kevin said shyly, a blush creeping onto his cheeks. "Doesn't matter. I already had dinner," Alex said, his expression shifting to playful.
Kevin frowned, suddenly feeling a pang of jealousy, he knew he shouldn't have felt. 'Did he eat with his parents?'
"Oh, I see. What did you have?" he asked, with a very fake calm voice. With a mischievous grin, Alex replied, "You."
Kevin's face turned crimson as Alex leaned in, placing a teasing kiss on his neck. "What did you make? Maybe I could eat something now that I've had my dinner," he added, enjoying the effect his words had on Kevin.
In a panic, Kevin jumped off Alex's lap and dashed to the bathroom, locking the door behind him. He slid down against it, burying his face in his palms. "I'm fucked." he muttered.
Alex chuckled softly at the sight of Kevin's retreat but soon grew concerned when his boyfriend didn't return. He approached the bathroom door and knocked gently. "Love, are you in there?" he called.
Silence.
"Love, what's wrong? Come on, open the door," he tried again, this time softer. Still no response. "Is it about earlier? If I overstepped, I promise I won't tease you again. Just please open the door."
After a moment, Kevin cracked the door open, peering out with wide eyes. "Hey, what happened?" Alex asked, brushing a thumb along Kevin's cheek.
"It's... it's nothing. Just go eat the cake I made. I think I'll stay in here for a bit longer," Kevin mumbled, looking down.
Alex raised an eyebrow. "Are you not feeling well? Is that why you want to stay in the bathroom?"
Kevin shook his head adamantly. "No! Just go, please." He tried to push Alex away, but he was met with a determined boyfriend who easily overpowered him and stepped inside.
"Why are you acting like this?" Alex began, but he paused mid-sentence when his eyes travelled down and met his lover's eyes again, he noticed the deep flush on Kevin's cheeks. "Did I... did I make you hard?" he asked cautiously.
Kevin nodded slowly, still avoiding Alex's gaze.
Instead of laughing, Alex's cheeks turned red too. "You should have told me. I could help you, just like that day you did for me," he said, taking Kevin by the shoulders.
Kevin looked up, his eyes wide with a mix of shyness and desire. "It's just so embarrassing to admit that a little tease and a kiss did this to me."
A small grin broke across Alex's face. "Can I help you, then?" he asked, his voice low and playful.
"I-I don't know. If you want to," Kevin stammered, breaking eye contact, knowing that if he looked into Alex's eyes too long, he'd be lost.
"Can I do everything?" Alex's gaze was intense, filled with lust. "Because once I start, I might not be able to stop."
Kevin swallowed hard, understanding where this was headed. He enjoyed their intimacy but remembered the uncertainty he felt after their six-month anniversary. He had given Alex a blowjob a month ago, but he wasn't ready for anything more. "I like it, but... I don't want to take that step yet."
Alex sighed, his expression softening. He took a step back, giving Kevin space. "Okay, I'll respect that." he said, managing a small smile, and he walks out of the bathroom.
Suddenly feeling a wave of anxiety, Kevin rushed after Alex as he bent to pick up his bag. "Please don't leave," he pleaded, sinking to his knees. "I'm sorry! We can do it, I promise! Just don't go!"
"Love, what are you doing? Get up before you catch a cold," Alex said, kneeling beside him, wrapping him in a comforting hug.
"No! I won't get up. You'll leave if I do! I'll do anything you want, just please stay," Kevin sobbed, clinging to Alex.
"Shhh, I'm not going anywhere," Alex murmured, gently rocking Kevin. "You're my everything."
After a few moments, Alex pulled back and lifted Kevin to his feet, leading him to the couch. He cupped Kevin's face, his thumbs brushing away the tears. "Let's just eat the cake you made and watch something. We can talk later."
Kevin nodded, his heart still racing but grateful for Alex's understanding. He started to rise from the couch, but Alex halted him with a gentle hand.
"Wait here. Choose a movie, I'll get the cake," Alex said with a warm smile as he headed to the kitchen.
"Why do I always end up making him cry?" Alex muttered to himself, shaking his head as he grabbed the cake, two forks, and a bottle of water.
When he returned to the living room, he found Kevin had transformed the couch into a bed and had opened Netflix.
Alex set the items on the table and wrapped his arms around Kevin from behind. "I love you," he whispered, kissing Kevin's forehead softly. "I promise I'll try to be a better boyfriend for you." To which Kevin gives him a reassuring smile.
"What are we watching?" Alex asked, glancing at the screen.
"I'm not sure; I just picked something at random," Kevin admitted, feeling a bit shy again. Alex grinned, picking up a fork. "Say 'ahh'," he teased, holding it up to Kevin's lips.
Kevin shot him a sad look. "I made it for you. You have to try it first."
With a playful sigh, Alex let Kevin feed him a bite of the cake, their earlier tension slowly fading as laughter filled the air once more.
