S.Coups Point Of View

I was sleeping soundly when I was shaken.

"Daddy. Wake up or we will be late." I heard my son say.

"Do you know what the time is?" I asked.

"I can't tell the time daddy." My son said, smiling.

I looked over at my clock and shot out of bed.

"Can you brush your teeth for me while I get dressed?" I asked.

"Okay daddy." My son said.

We went into the bathroom and he stood on his stool. I got out his toothbrush and put a little amount of toothpaste and he started to brush his teeth. I quickly put on clean boxers, fresh socks and put on my trousers and shirt for work. I put my shoes on and tied them and went back to my son.

"Can you get me your clothes you want to wear today for school?" I asked.

My son went to his room to get his clothes while I quickly brushed my teeth and my hair styling it a little. My son came into my room with his clothes but also with a pout.

"What's with the pout son?" I asked.

"I can't find my shoes." He said.

"They are by the door with the rest of your shoes. Let's get you dressed as we are late." I said.

I got my son dressed. I packed his bag the night before so it's just his lunch to get out the fridge I needed to grab. He put on his jacket and shoes while I got my things together and his. We were out the door and off we went.

I parked at his school and dropped him off. The school knows me very well by always being late. I smiled and my son followed a staff member to his class. He gave me a hug and he was off. I apologised before leaving for work.

My son is 7 years old. It was an arranged marriage and the woman thought drugging me to keep me with her would work but it backfired on her horribly. After it was revealed she drugged me as it was coming to the end of our marriage she thought that if she got pregnant we would need to stay together. I divorced her the next day and wanted full custody when the child was born because I hate to think what my child would go through if she was raising our kid.

My son does ask when he can get a mummy and sometimes calls his teacher mummy. It was the end of the day so I went to pick up my son. I walked to the classroom to see a beautiful man holding my son who was crying.

"That is not how you behave in a classroom. Apologies with meaning." The teacher said.

"Nope." The boy said.

"You do not make fun of someone. Period. You wouldn't like it if you got made fun of." The teacher said.

The boy put his head down, apologised and sat back down. I was away from the door as I didn't realise I was early. I listened to the teacher for the last 10 minutes.
