You and Colby.
Oh boy, you and Colby.
You've been on and off for a while now. You were constantly breaking up because of either of you always being away for his work. It just wasn't working out the way you guys wanted or thought it would.
But you always came back to each other.
This instance, it was a a wedding, but for a friend.
It was going to be a busy day for him, he was the best man, of course, and you respected that. You've been texting and talking on and off for a while, but this is the first time you'll be seeing each other in a few months, and needless to say, you both were excited.
You had something to tell him, but you just had to find the right time to tell him.
You arrived at the venue, making your way to one of the seats. You made sure to sit somewhere in the middle, you didn't want to be right up front, but you also didn't want to be way in the back either.
You smoothed out your dress, taking a deep breath as more people filed in around you.
A few people spoke to you, asking about your work and how your travel went. You filled them in and soon enough, you heard the music start.
You watched as the officiant walked down, followed by the groom then the parents and grandparents. Then the bridesmaids and groomsmen started to walk down, two by two.
You sucked in a quiet breath as your eyes fell onto Colby. They stayed on him until he made it up to stand by the groom.
Everyone stood up as soon as the music changed.
You knew the bride and she looked absolutely beautiful. You watched as she walked down the aisle, quickly wiping away a tear.
After everyone was seated, the wedding started and soon after, Colby found you. You gave him a small smile and he smiled back, giving you a nod. His eyes stayed on you throughout the ceremony.
Every now and then, he'd look over at the groom, watching as they exchanged vows and you just couldn't help yourself pictures you and Colby up there.
He was your end game, and you were destined to have it that way.
"And now.. the rings." The officiant motioned to Colby but he was too busy staring at you. You brought a hand up, covering your lips as you stifled back a quiet laugh.
