I was on my way to JFK so I decided to call Lexi and let her kno I was gonna be home tonight

She was at a whisper and I laughed

I heard D in the background

She hung up the phone. I dropped my head then sent her a couple text
T: Yung you ready
August: Yea
We caught our 2 hour flight and headed to the crib. After I got settled in D, Knuck and T was bout to leave when Lexi called me

August: What happen
T and Knuck stop jokin around and looked at me

We went up the driveway and I introduced her to D, Knuck and T. I took her in the house and gave her a rag

She took the rag and went in the bathroom. I stepped back outside

August: She will be but Dj on his way over here

She smiled a little I could tell she was worried

A grin came across her face when the lights from a car blinded her
Lexi: I think that's Dj
I looked at the car and turned around to face it. I pulled her behind me and warned T then stepped towards the car

Lexi mama and Tati came up in the driveway too. They got out and kinda creeped up the hill. Dj came towards me.

He punched me and I fell to the ground. Ima let him have this one because I kno he mad

Dj: Y'all gone disrespect me after all the shit I've done for you nigxa
I spit the blood out my mouth and tried to get up. Lexi came to help me but Dj wasn't havin it. He grabbed and snatched her up. T went at him then Dj pulled his gun out and cocked it.

T kept his eye on him but helped me off the ground. Dj pushed Lexi towards his car

He pointed the gun at me

He walked away and pushed Lexi towards the car again
Dj: Where ya keys
She was crying and folded her arms. He picked her up and put her against the car
I went for him but T stopped me
Dj: The fux you playin for Lexi
Janet: Just tell him where the keys are
I could tell she was cryin
Lexi: They're in the house
Her voice trembled
Dj: Ma get her keys and drive her car to my house... Lexi get in the goddamn car
He opened the door and shoved her in the front seat.

I went in the house lookin for her keys. She left them in the bathroom when she washed her face. I grabbed them and brought em out to her mama. She got in the car and they all left

T: Ima stay just in case he comes back

D and Knuck left and me and T went in the house. I took a shower rolled and lit me a blunt.

T grabbed the keys to the range and drove me to Lexi's apartment. At first I stood there. I heard her music playin but I contemplated if I was really the best thing for her

The phone hung up and the door swung open and she hugged my neck

She released my neck and came off her tiptoes. She had tears streaming down her face. She looked at me then T

She wiped her face then stepped out the way so we could come in. We walked in and T sat on the couch then she pulled me to the back and closed the door
Lexi: I'm sorry August I didn't want none of that to happen
I laughed and we sat on her bed

Lexi: Yea but Dj shouldn't have done that and he forbids me to see you...

Lexi: That's a lot of hiding and what if he finds out this time... things could be worse

She faced me, scooted closer then folded her legs Indian style
