Almost a year and half later since my mom passed. I was sitting on the balcony to my hotel in LA, enjoying the view, and thinkin about her. My phone buzzed in my lap.

I smiled and thought about August
Lexi: I'm being spoiled
He laughed
Lexi: Wassup
Dj: Nothin just callin to check on you
Lexi: How is Elise
Dj: She fine now her cold is gone
Lexi: Thats good
My brother I commend him. After they did the DNA test and found out neither one of them was the dad Amber didn't want the baby. So she put her up for adoption and my brother took her in.
Dj: Unc and Lisa comin up here to see her this weekend
Lexi: Aw really we're gonna be in New York this weekend tell them I said hey
I heard August come out the bathroom
Dj: Iight I will but let me go... ever since she learned how to climb out her bed I've been hearing her little feet hit the floor
I laughed
Lexi: Ok send me some pictures
Dj: I will
We hung up and I went inside. August was standing by the tv flipping thru channels. He had nothing but a towel wrapped around his waist and water dripping down his body. I stood behind him and wrapped my arms around his waist. He looked back and down at me then smiled.
August: What you doin
I smiled back at him then ran my hands down his stomach to his shaft
Lexi: Grabbin what's mine
He put the remote down then turned around and picked me up. I wrapped him between legs and locked my feet

We laughed and fell on the bed he started kissin and suckin on my neck. He put his hands between my legs and teased me. I moaned in snyc with his phone ringing. He came up from kissing me

I pulled him back down

He pecked my lips then untied the belt on my robe, exposing my red laced lingerie. His long fingers wrapped around my waist then he slide his hands down, in my panties, to my ass. His phone started ringing then we heard a knock in the door
Lexi: Seriously again
He sat on his knees, exposed to me. I sat up an wrapped myself back up in my robe. I put my foot on his chest and pushed him off the bed
Lexi: Answer it
August: Baby
I moved closer to the top of the bed, crossed my legs Indian style, folded my arms and rolled my eyes. He picked his towel up and wrapped it back around his waist.
August: I'm sorr...
Lexi: Mhm just get the door
I shrugged and draped my legs over the edge of the bed. He stared at me for a few seconds, while pullin on his chin hair, then went to answer the door. I let my feet hit the soft cream colored carpet and walked towards the door to be nosy
August: Yea D let me tell Lexi ima be down there in twenty
He closed the door and I stepped out so he could see me with my arms folded
August: Lexi you kno why we came up here
I unfolded my arms
Lexi: You right go work
I turned around and walked to the bathroom
August: I kno I said we would spend time together...
Lexi: I get it August duty calls... ima just go to the mall
August: Bab...
I walked in the bathroom and shut the door. I heard him get closer
August: I'm sorry Lex ima see ya tonight before the show
I just turned on the shower and got in. For the past few months all I get from him are promises of this or that but never follow thru. I finished taking a shower. When I got out August was gone but he left a note. I was too frustrated to read it. I got dressed and called an uber to take me to the mall. After about an hour of shopping around and even tho I he annoyed me I couldn't help but to buy him a few things, I was hungry. I went to Chik-fil-A and got me a chicken deluxe meal. When I sat down Tati called me.
Lexi: Hey girl
Tati: You LA shoppin girl
I laughed
Lexi: You already kno wassup
Tati: Nothin just came from seein Dj and Elise
I stopped eating
Lexi: Why
She laughed
Tati: Chill I left my bag there I was just picking it up
Lexi: Mhm
Tati: Ok Dj jr
I laughed
Lexi: Ha whatever anyways
Tati: So how is August
I rolled my eyes
Lexi: Eh he's fine

Lexi: I get that he's working I just want some me and him time and it seems like it'll never happen

Lexi: No... We've been thru too much I just assume...

I looked up and seen Chris, the mover, standing in front of me. The sun shine thru the mall windows just right to hit him in the perfect spots

I hung up

Chris: I'm good
He sat down
Lexi: What are you doing in LA
Chris: Business
Lexi: Apparently everyone is
Chris: What are you doin here
Lexi: I'm just here with my boyfriend
He looked around
Chris: Where is this boyfriend
I laughed
Lexi: He's taking care of business
Chris: And left you to shop by yourself
Lexi: Its business I unders...

His eyes locked with mine. My phone buzzed I looked down to see who was calling and saw the time
Lexi: Oh it's five o'clock I gotta go
I picked up my bags
Chris: Wait Lexi
He grabbed my hand
Lexi: I have to go Chris
He let me go
Chris: I guess ill see you around
Lexi: Maybe
Chris: Here it has my phone number on the back call me
He gave me one of his business cards
Lexi: Ok bye Chris
I left the mall and rushed back to the room. When I walked in I heard August in the shower. I tossed my bags on the bed and kicked off my shoes. August walked out the bathroom.
August: Oh you ready to spend some time
Lexi: Whatever August I was only a hour late
August: Only an hour
Lexi: You don't have room to judge anybody about timing
August: You right
He walked over to the bed and started gettin dressed. I crawled across the bed and sat on my knees in front of him. He ignored me so I stood up on my knees and put my arms around his neck
Lexi: I'm sorry for being late August don't...
August: Can I finish gettin dressed
He turned and walked away from me
Lexi: Really...
August: You comin to the show or what
Lexi: You're annoyin
I threw a pilliow at him and flopped down on the bed
August: Iight I'll see you later then
Lexi: Whatever
He grabbed his phone and left. I laid back on the bed and let my curls cover my face. I don't get why we keep arguing. I got up and packed some of the new clothes I got in my suitcase. After I took a shower I talked to Dj then Tati before fallin asleep.
I woke up and looked at the clock. It was three in the morning almost four. I heard August and Big T stumble in the door.
August: A nigxa was hurtin
Big T: Yea yung
They came by the bed and I rolled over.
Big T: Hey lil lady
I sat up
Lexi: What happen
Big T: The after party was lit
Lexi: Oh just lay him on the bed I'll do the rest
He got Aug on the bed then left. I got up and started taking his clothes off.
August: Lexi
Lexi: What August
August: You still mad
Lexi: No can you sit up so I can take off your shirt
He sat up and pulled me into him
August: I'm sorry
He ran his hands up my legs to my ass. Then pushed me back, grabbed the trash can and threw up.
Lexi: Come on stink breath
I helped him out the bed and to the shower. Once he was finshef I helped put his boxers on. He got in the bed and passed out. I laid down next to him and grabbed the remote. August woke up and pulled me into him. He laid his head in my neck and kissed my neck. He wrapped his arms around my waist and locked his fingers with mine
August: I love you Lex and I'm sorry bout the trip
Lexi: Its ok August go to sleep
He kissed my neck again then fell asleep. We woke up a few hours later and headed to New York for the weekend then back to Atlanta.
August: You wanna do something today
Lexi: Yea let's go see my niece
He laughed at my excitement
August: Iight c'mon
We headed over to Dj's. When we got there it was an extra car outside
August: Thats not Tati's car
Lexi: No it's not
We knocked on the door.
Dj: Yea
Lexi: Thats how you answer the door
He rolled his eyes
Dj: Whatever Lexi wassup Yung
They dapped each other and he let us in
August: Whats poppin... Who car
Lisa: Ours
Lexi: Auntie
I gave her a hug
Robert: Lexi baby
I gave him a hug
Lisa: August how you doin
August: Everything is good
We walked to the sitting area
Lexi: Dj where is Elise
Dj: In her playpin let me get her
Lexi: Ok.. Unc I thought y'all was leavin yesterday
Robert: We told Dj that cuz we wanted to surprise y'all
August: Surprise?
Lisa: We moved to Atlanta
Lexi: Serious
Dj came downstairs with Elise and put her on the floor. I opened my arms and she ran to me
Dj: Yep right down the street
His eyes widened and I laughed
Lisa: Shut up boy we aren't that bad
Dj: Yea but where this son of yours at Unc
Me and August were playin with Elise
Lexi: Y'all have a son
August: Why y'all don't kno they had a kid
My uncle laughed and Dj sat down and started watching tv
Robert: They didn't kno because it's my son he stayed with his mother until he moved to Atlanta when he was eighteen
Lisa: Yea and he visited a lot when he was younger but right around the time Nathan and him became friends it kinda faded into frequent calls
August: Wow
He sat back and took Elise from me
Robert: Yea but Atlanta is so small I wouldn't be surprised if y'all met him before
Lexi: Really whats his...
There was a knock on the door
Robert: Ill get it
He went to answer the door.
Lisa: Did y'all enjoy LA
August looked at me then at my aunt
August: We tried
I rolled my eyes
Lexi: Tried yea
Lisa: What hap...
Robert: Y'all meet my son Chr...
Chris: Lexi
I looked up surprised then August and Dj looked over at me.
