A chirpy tune too quiet to echo down the endless corridors. A pair of sports shoes, light and fit for clawed feet. Jeans, deep blue and tight around the waist. A gray shirt, to compliment the wearer's appearance. And a winning smile, however that worked with a beak.
The harpy eagle went on her business, or lack thereof. With a skip in her step, she basked in the fruits of today. Breakfast had gone smoothly, pun intended, for there were smoothies! She was glad her human was a true omnivore, it made things so much easier on her part.
The activities that followed weren't worth mention; the weekly check-up with the toothy doctor. He was such a strange fool, but he didn't make the human uncomfortable, so she let him be. Lunch was as boring as every other Tuesday. They were renewing the stock as well, out with the old, in with the new.
Then, there were his pastimes; video games, comic books, catching up on news outside the facility. She was a naughty avian, whispering to the human secrets. They didn't want him to know more than they wanted, schemes were the norm amongst the elite class. But she knew what she was doing and he trusted her.
That brought the positivity down a notch. How glad, relieved, and blessed she was to have caught him before he hit the ground. She had to be true to herself and admit she had some fault, but all's well that ends well. Water under the bridge and all that, not like anyone knew, just her clear conscience.
And there was dinner. It was wonderful. She imagined objects that weren't there; a pair of candles, melting at the same rate, sharing the flame. A suited Johnny, she liked that look, the red tie really accented his chin, the only true chin in the animal kingdom. The food was good too, no less for the MVP of the world, though she wouldn't have noticed if it was leftover slop from the army.
When a meal is had with someone, it's always better. And when that someone is special to you? More so. The way a utensil passed his naturally pink, soft lips, how his jaw worked on the bite, chewing and crushing the food before traveling down his hot throat. That got her more bothered, good thing she was done with the day.
The advantage of being a yellow pedant, on the condition that more work equals more pay, is the reward. The clock hadn't even struck ten, she could stay up late and browse the internet, watch a movie, repay lost sleep hours. The last option seemed the sweetest at the moment.
However, she did have one little thing to take care of before she could indulge her lucid dreams once again. And that was just that but in the waking plane.
Having daydreamed during the walk to her room, she unlocked the door before stepping in, making sure to twist the old lock twice and triple-checking its validity. She sighed, there was no chance in the world she had someone walk in on her.
She left the light in the living room off. As she started to take off her shirt, a pang of urge rebounded inside her chest. She was tired, indeed, but that need quickly blew out of proportions and remained stuck at the forefront of her mind. Lightly tapping her pocket, she was relieved her phone was there. She'd need it, after all.
Moving past the kitchen corner, she entered a different room. Flicking on the switch revealed the pristine interior of the restroom; a toilet, a sink, and a bathtub with both a faucet and showerhead. Nothing out of the ordinary. It was their size. She was a big girl, and big girls needed big accommodations.
Only when she was inside, locked that door as well, did she remove her clothing. At first, it was normal, casual, to take care of personal business. But as the bra fell and the belt unbuckled, her excitement ruled and demanded she hurried. In an ungraceful manner the human had never seen, by the end of the process she practically tore off her panties, standing naked as the day she hatched.
