"Oh!" Shi scrambles as she sees the name attached to the phone number calling her. Fumbling the phone for a moment before taking a deep breath and answering calmly.

"Hello?"

"Good afternoon, I am looking for Miss Shilo Thomas." The woman on the other end sounds serious and professional.

"This is she." She bites back a nervous giggle, she'd been waiting for this call for days. She'd sent in her portfolio and mock ups almost a week prior.

"Miss Thomas, I am the secretary for Ms. Martin and she asked me to extend an invite to dinner to you. She and a couple other members of our board were impressed by your portfolio and would like to meet you in person to discuss further opportunities. Would you be able to make the trip to Los Angeles this upcoming Wednesday, July 17th, to meet them for dinner?"

"I can make that work." She swallows hard trying to keep the giddiness she is feeling from making this conversation less professional.

"Wonderful, I will inform her of your acceptance. Expect an email shortly with all the details."

"Thank you." She nods, despite the fact no one can see her.

"Have a nice day." The lady responds before the line cuts.

"AHHHHH!!" Shi leans her head back and yells, bouncing from foot to foot for a minute to get a bit of the joy out. "I have to tell someone!" She giggles, flipping onto her bed and pulling up Twitter.

She rolls her eyes as the first like comes in, she's had a suspicion that Calum had turned on her notifications and that quick response basically proves it. The small blue number one lighting up the bottom right corner of the screen only moments later.

Yeah! I just got the
call. They want me in
LA on Wednesday for
a dinner meeting. So I
guess I'm booking a
hotel for the night
since I was already
planning to be down
there Thursday for
Ashton's show. I'm so
excited!

I'm so proud of you!

off the last few weeks
to make it happen and
you did.

She waits a moment, clicking on the blue number as it pops up and hitting FaceTime without thinking.

"Shi! You did it!" Calum's face pops up on the screen only a moment later.

"I'm freaking the fuck out! I'm so excited. I was really starting to worry after not hearing back for so many days." She laughs, running a hand through her hair.

"I knew you could do it, you put so much work into what they were asking for. It's basically all you've talked about for weeks." He chuckles.

"Ahhh!" She yells again before it turns into a laugh. "I'm in shock honestly. I actually got the interview, I did it, all on my own. All my hard work over the last few years has paid off."
