Sunday had been exactly how Calum had hoped to spend Saturday. They'd slept in late, stayed in bed laughing and talking for a while longer, and then slowly got up. Shi had made him homemade waffles that far out did his box mix pancakes last week. They'd cuddled up on her small sofa after eating to watch a movie, and she'd fallen asleep on him again about halfway through. When she'd woken up he'd ordered them some early dinner and only left when she insisted it would make her far more comfortable to know he was home before it got too dark.
It was ridiculous, the way falling asleep the previous night had suddenly felt wrong. His bed far too large for himself alone, but eventually, with a FaceTime call to Shi, he'd managed to get some sleep. Getting up this morning he couldn't help but grin as he saw a notification from Shi's Instagram, having turned on her notifications there as well.
