Season 1, Episode 10

Leslie was getting ready for Olivia's quince, she wanted one once she was older. But there was a small problem, she couldn't do the father-daughter dance. I mean she didn't care, she just could do it with her mom.

Anyway, Leslie decided to wear a light blue dress, it was tight but not too tight. She was skinny for her age and that was the only dress she had that fit her height.

It wasn't loose like the others ones, she was 4'5 that's why. She left her curly hair alone since it wasn't that crazy, Leslie wore her white Converse and bracelets.

Since there were also weird people, she had to wear a sweater over it. It was just a basic gray one, nothing special.

Leslie got up from her bed and looked at herself in the mirror, she was pretty but she didn't believe it. She was bullied a lot, I mean she could defend herself, but those people were bitches and told everyone how she was rude.

She probably got it from her DAD and Leslie hated when people said that, it was a dumb comment that pissed her off for no reason. "Why am I not pretty?" Leslie murmured.

She heard footsteps echoing from the hallway, it was Levi, her brother. Leslie rolled her eyes as he walked in, "Les, we leaving," he coldly said.

"I'm going," Leslie replied. He watched as she stared at herself, Levi knew that she was bullied. She struggled with that, and getting abused as well. No kid should go through that.

"Hey, you okay?" His tone softened slightly. Leslie glanced at him, "I'm fine," she mumbled. Enough for Levi to hear though.

He sighed as he walked out, that was his sister. Levi should protect her, he didn't want her to get shot, killed, or anything at all.

At the church...

There was a picture of Olivia next to the doors, she had a pink dress. It had flowers, some gems there and there was no straps. Leslie didn't trust shit like that, like what if it fell. (My girl wears tube tops in the future)

But she had to help with passing out papers, her mom forced her to. "Bless you," Ruby said, passing out one. "Can you believe we were here only a few hours ago?"

"When there was hope," Monse stared forward. Leslie stood in the middle of them, rolling her eyes. "Oh my god!" Ruby yelled.

The priest popped up out of nowhere, he cleared his throat as he stared at Ruby. He looked up at him and his eyes widened, " I mean, goodness," Ruby corrected. Holding out a paper for him, he grabbed it and turned away.

" Seriously?"

"What?" Monse asked

"There's a typo in the program, "their" is spelled with an e-r-e instead of e-I-r. Only e-I-r shows possession," Ruby mentioned.

"Really? You think this is an opportunity to grammar troll," Monse angrily said. Leslie started to get annoyed, she played with her bracelets as she gave more papers out.

"Jamal was supposed to double-check before they were printed," Ruby spoke.

"Add it to the list. He's a loser," Monse stated. I mean she wasn't wrong about that, he kinda was. "Hey! I know you're mad, but try to temper your tude today and be cool when Jamal gets here,"

Leslie rolled her eyes and walked into the church, she got annoyed by the two of them. She left the papers she had on a table and sat next to Josiah, his dad was friends with Oscar so he got to hang out with Cesar. Then eventually started hanging out with the others.

"You look good in that dress," Josiah mentioned. She side-eyed him and crossed her arms over her chest, "I'm being serious! I don't know how people bullied you, they are just jealous of you,"

Leslie smiled slightly and turned to look at him, letting her arms fall. "You're funny," she laughed.
He shrugged as he turned away, "you do look pretty, Lulu," he chuckled.

Leslie's eyes widened and mouth wide open, "No! Who told you that fuckass nickname," she wondered. Josiah busted out laughing, some people were giving him weird looks.

"Ima call you Jojo Siwa now," Leslie giggled.

"Bro! Now that ain't fair," Josiah laughed. They continued to laugh until someone told them to shut up...

Leslie watched Olivia and Ruby dance together, she thought Cesar and Olivia were gonna dance but she barely found out they had broken up. Owen was busy inside arguing with Levi about who should go to the bathroom, brothers.

Everyone started clapping all of a sudden so Leslie clapped too, Cesar and Monse walked to the middle of the dance floor. Well backyard, they were pretty good.

A little later, Ruby and Olivia joined in and they all danced together. Once it ended, Monse and Olivia walked away. Leaving the other two.

Leslie looked at them, Monse tried to fix her hair but it seemed like she had no idea what she was doing. She chuckled as she glanced at Lillian, she was so pretty. If only she looked like her.

Owen and Levi came back, Owen looked like he was about to fight someone. "Levi, what'd you do to your brother?" Lillian asked. He grumbled as he walked away, Owen walked away as well.

Lillian was confused as she watched them both walk away, "Leslie, don't have kids," she told her.
Leslie looked offended and placed her hand over her chest, "okay well, just your brothers,"

Leslie was about to say something before someone spoke over her, "Lulu, wanna dance?" A familiar voice came from behind her, Josiah. She turned around and looked at him, Lillian smiled and pointed at the dance floor.

"Sure," Leslie agreed. He smiled as he walked towards the dance floor, moving through the crowd. She followed him, Josiah grabbed her arm and slowed danced in a kid-friendly way.

"We're just doing this as friends, right?" Leslie whispered. He laughed and nodded gently, she sighed and relaxed a bit. "Alright then,"

Another song started playing as Josiah and Leslie danced around, they were next to Monse and Cesar. All of them had some pretty good dancing moves, Leslie watched as Ruby pulled Olivia to where they were at.

They probably made out or something, I mean they could be a good couple, Ruby is like obsessed with her so they'll be good. "Look at that pimp stick," he said, motioning towards a dude holding a stick with a ball on top.

They all looked at him and laughed, Leslie continued dancing. She was in her own world, where nothing was going on, just peace. "For Jamal!" The 5 of them yelled.

Leslie snapped out of her thoughts and smiled, this was peaceful. Nothing could go wrong, Josiah smiled at her and took off her sweater. "There's no one here who's gonna look at you weird, just be yourself," he said.

She smiled back and danced some more, Josiah took her sweater and held it. "Cesar!" Ruby yelled, Leslie looked confused as she wondered why he was yelling. She heard a gunshot and jumped, she saw Latrelle and her eyes widened.

She glanced at Lillian before another gunshot went off, Leslie felt a tingle in her shoulder. She saw Ruby fall to the ground as he was shot, everyone started screaming and Latrelle ran away.

"Leslie, your arm," Josiah pointed out. She looked down as she saw blood streaming down her arm, "fuck dude," she managed to say before passing out.
