KIM CHAEWON
the next day

I sat in my chair, watching as this meeting goes on. The rival gang leader, Hwang Yeji sat across from me. She had a serious expression on her face. "So... When will you finally give us our land Kim" She said sharply. I didn't flinch, didn't move a muscle.

"What land? you barge into my territory and expect me to give you something?" I said, leaning against the table. She scoffs. "Oh please... I didn't barge, I kindly let me and my gang in" She says, crossing her arms. I give her a small glare.

"Please Yeji... you're the one causing trouble for Eunchae" I say, gripping my mug, which was filled with coffee. The hot drink was still steaming. Yeji give a small chuckle. "I am not! She started with us" Yeji exclaims in defense, she arose from her seat. I did the same thing. My hand lingering near my weapon.

"Watch it Kim... Don't make this harder than it has to be" She says, a hint of dangerous edge on her voice. "I don't care about that, Yuna has threatened Eunchae with everything. Though Eunchae can protect herself and doesn't need protection, she's in my gang and I care about her" I say. Yeji rolls her eyes.

Then she lets out a small laugh. "Cute, but stupid... Now I will say this one more time, give me the territory... now." She says, stepping closer to me. "I don't think so" I say, stepping back one, my eyes centered on Yeji. The scene is cut off by a knock at the door.

Then it opens to reveal Sakura. "Hi Chae... Yeji I think it's time you leave" She says. Yeji scoffs and grabs her stuff. Then she stops right at the door and turns to look at me. "This ain't over Kim" She says, then leaves. I let out a sigh of relief. I'm glad she's gone now.

I turn to Sakura. "What did you need?" I ask. Sakura was about to speak, when Yena came in panicked. "Boss... we got a problem" She says. I raise an eyebrow, now intrigued by Yena's interruption. "What's going on?" I ask, crossing my arms.

"I was going to give the new girl some water and I went in her room. It's empty, she's gone!" Yena exclaims. My eyebrow raises again. "Gone?" I say, which causes the duck to nod. I march out the room and to Yunjin's room.

There is no way this girl is gone

I opened the door, to reveal an empty room. The bed was made perfectly. Yunjin's stuff was missing. I felt a pang of panic course through my veins. My heart sped up. I shut the door and looked everywhere in the hideout.

She was no where. She was missing, gone. I went outside. and I shouted.

"YUNJIN!!!" I shouted loudly, walking off. The near thought of this girl out in the world alone and defenseless terrified me.

She was vulnerable, fragile. And I was the opposite. Fearless, Antifragile.

I speed walked around, continuously shouting. "KIDDO!! YUNJIN! WHERE ARE YOU!!" I shouted, my voice grew more and more worried as I couldn't find the girl. Hours pass and the sun begins to set.

By this time, my feet are aching, screaming for me to sit down. But I pushed on, I would not rest until I found her. Until she was safe, and with me.

In my arms

My phone rang in my pocket and I growled in frustration. I took it out my pocket and answered the call, putting the phone to my ear. "Yes Sakura?" I say, a hint of frustration in my voice. "Boss... you need to come back" the blue haired said on the other side. "Why?" I say. "It's getting late and we all need our assignments for tomorrow" She answers.

I sigh. My mind going to war. On one hand, I need to be a leader. On the other, my worry for Yunjin is too strong. But I can't abandon my gang. I take a deep breath.

"Give me 20 minutes tops, I'm coming" I say, then I hang up. Turning around and heading back to the hideout. Yunjin will have to wait until tomorrow. But mark my words.

I will not rest until she is found, alive and unharmed. Until she is back under my protection.
