"[ ]!"
The youthful boy, with his appearance, was glowing in the sunlight. His face, however, betrayed the feeling of innocence a boy his age should have by the devious smirk planted on his lips.
His older brother turned around with annoyance at his younger brother's disrespectful attitude. It was customary not to call siblings by only their names lest it be considered rude and uneducated, especially for nobles of their prestige.
"I heard you picked a fight again. When are you going to learn you're too weak to do anything?"
That annoying smirk and tone really pissed him off. If he could he would punish his younger brother, but this brother of his was hundreds, if not thousands of times more powerful than him.
But that didn't matter to him in the end. In the end he still aimed for a chop at his younger brother's head which was easily blocked by a barrier of water.
Before long the mocking began again as his younger brother rattled off about his and his elder brother's superiority. Really, where did his mannerisms education go?
It didn't happen long after that. The confrontation that was suppose to change their whole dynamic.
"F*ck! Who pulled up a dungeon teleportation circle?!?!"
The little boy, far too young to be fighting demons and beasts, felt the warm iron-tasting liquid drip from the corner of his mouth. His left arm felt like it was tingling with ants from how numb it was after being hit by a Juggernaut.
Who knew a fae would interfere and help the beasts! The possibly only kind of creatures that could counter his innate magic control? The creatures raised by magic itself?!
No! He's getting distracted! The incoming attack by the Juggernaut was pitifully attempted to be blocked by his shield of water and was broken through in a mere second.
He was sure of it. This was the end to him.
The young boy only clenched his hands. If only...if only it didn't end like this! He had so much more to accomplish! He was a genius among geniuses! He was destined to fly higher than even the hero himself!
Still, in the impending face of death, everything stood equal. No matter his talent, his upbringing, even his rotten relationships with his family, it didn't mean anything in the end.
Suddenly, a loud current of wind was heard as another barrier was put up. A slightly larger body than his blocked his view as blood spurted out from where he could see.
The person had their back to the enemy so he could see their face clearly. Yet, he didn't know why someone like that would come and try to save him when he's only caused them nothing but trouble.
A slap made it's ways across his face in that brief second he was stunned. The stinging pain was nothing compared to the unspeakable feeling that gripped his mouth from letting any words out.
His brother was weak, far weaker than he'll ever be. So why was he here? In this dungeon? Bleeding out from blocking an attack meant for him?
The young boy's face darkened as the air round him grew drier and drier. The mummified bodies of the hidden assassins quickly hit the floor of the dungeon, immediately being consumed by the Juggernaut.
"You idiot..."
Unlike him, who always called his brother's name directly, his brother never called his name. No...ever since that day he's never called it again. Just remembering it made him grit his teeth in anger.
His arms were stretched out to catch his falling bloodied brother. His right hand still held up towards the enemy as he held his brother closer with his left arm which soaked in the blood that kept seeping from his brother's back.
