The Dilemma of The Selkie Woman

She holds her fur coat around her
Lantern in her hand

The dawn was slowly rising
The gentle grey of the morning,
Brought a gentle touch to her cheeks

Waves crashed on the rocky cliffs below
Swirling in a sight of welcome arms

She looked back at her home
There her children rested, snugged in their beds
Her husband laid comfortable

It tore her heart in two

If she left them, they will all wake without her
If she didn't, she would leave her birthright in the depths of the salty seas

She clung to the seal skin tightly

She wanted to be home, but as she looked back to the sea

The woman was unsure of where her home was
