Lucifer D Arcadia's world was bright and filled with love from his parents, David and Amelia Arcadia. David was a kind-hearted man with a gentle voice, always quick to make Lucifer laugh with his silly jokes. Amelia was warm and nurturing, with an infectious smile that lit up every room she entered. Together, they created a happy home for their son, one full of warmth and laughter. Lucifer adored them, feeling safe and cherished.

When Lucifer turned five, it was time for him to start kindergarten. His parents were proud of him, and though he was a bit nervous, they reassured him with hugs and words of encouragement. Amelia knelt down in front of him, her eyes brimming with love as she brushed his white hair back gently. "You're going to make so many friends today, sweetheart," she said softly, kissing his forehead.

David ruffled Lucifer's hair with a chuckle. "And don't forget, we'll be right here when school's over. You're going to do great, champ."

Lucifer clung to their words, feeling a little braver. Sure enough, it didn't take long before he found himself surrounded by a group of kids, playing games and laughing together. Among them was Masha, a cheerful girl with long, golden hair and a wide smile. From the moment they spoke, they clicked. It felt like they had known each other forever. They became inseparable, and soon enough, playing at each other's houses became a daily occurrence.

Masha's parents, Peter and Anna, adored Lucifer. Peter, a tall man with a booming laugh, often played games with them, pretending to be a monster while the kids ran around the house, giggling and screaming in delight. Anna was soft-spoken but loving, always making sure Lucifer felt welcome, treating him like her own son.

One hot summer day, Lucifer and Masha were playing in her backyard, running around in the sunshine. Laughter filled the air as they chased each other, their faces flushed with joy. Inside the house, Peter and Anna sat in the living room, watching the children through the window. The atmosphere was peaceful until the phone rang.

Anna answered it, her smile fading as she listened to the voice on the other end. Her face paled, and she glanced at Peter, who immediately stood up, sensing something was wrong. He watched as his wife's expression crumpled, tears forming in her eyes.

"Anna?" Peter asked, his voice tense with worry.

When she hung up the phone, her hands were shaking. "It's... it's David and Amelia," she whispered, her voice thick with emotion. "There was an accident."

Peter's face tightened, and for a moment, they stood in stunned silence. The weight of the news hung heavily in the air.

"We have to tell Lucifer," Peter finally said, his voice low.

Anna hesitated, glancing outside at the two children, who were still laughing, blissfully unaware of the tragedy that had just struck. "He's just a child, Peter. How can we...?" Her voice broke, and she covered her mouth with her hand, tears spilling down her cheeks.

Peter wrapped his arms around her, holding her close. "We have to be strong for him."

The two of them walked outside, their hearts heavy with dread. As they approached, Lucifer looked up at them, still smiling. But when he saw their faces, his smile faltered.

"Lucifer," Peter said gently, kneeling down to meet his eyes. "We need to talk."

Masha stood by, confused, but she could sense something was wrong. Lucifer's blue eyes flickered with worry as he glanced between Peter and Anna. "What's wrong?"

Anna knelt beside him, her voice trembling as she spoke. "Sweetheart, something happened... Your mommy and daddy... they were in an accident."

Lucifer stared at them, the words not fully sinking in. "An accident?" he repeated, his voice small.

"They... they didn't make it, sweetheart," Anna said softly, her heart breaking as she watched the realization dawn on his face.

For a moment, there was silence. And then, the first tear fell down Lucifer's cheek. His small frame began to shake, and before anyone could say anything else, he let out a heart-wrenching sob. "No... no!" he cried, his voice filled with anguish.

Anna pulled him into her arms, holding him close as he sobbed against her chest. "I'm so sorry, Lucifer," she whispered, tears streaming down her own face. Masha, not fully understanding the gravity of what had just happened, watched in shock as her best friend broke down.

Lucifer's sobs grew louder, more desperate. "I want them back! I want my mommy and daddy!" he screamed, his small fists clutching Anna's shirt as if holding on for dear life.

Masha's eyes welled up with tears as she watched Lucifer cry, her heart aching for him. She rushed forward, wrapping her arms around him too, her little voice trembling as she said, "It's okay, Lucifer... it's okay..."

But it wasn't okay. Nothing about this was okay.

Suddenly, Lucifer's breathing became erratic. His sobs turned into gasps for air, his small chest heaving as he struggled to breathe. Anna's eyes widened in panic. "Peter! He's having a panic attack!"

Peter scooped Lucifer up in his arms, his heart pounding as he rushed inside. "Call an ambulance!" he shouted.

Masha clung to her mother, crying as Anna hurried to dial emergency services. The minutes that followed felt like an eternity. Lucifer's cries had stopped, replaced by shallow, rapid breaths as he drifted in and out of consciousness. By the time the paramedics arrived, he had fainted completely.

Masha watched in horror as they placed Lucifer on a stretcher, her small hands gripping her mother's tightly. "Is he going to be okay?" she whispered, her voice barely audible.

Anna knelt down, trying to comfort her daughter, though tears still filled her own eyes. "He's going to be fine, sweetie. They'll take good care of him."

But Masha could see the worry in her mother's face.

Lucifer was rushed to the hospital, where he remained unconscious for weeks. Masha visited him every day, sitting by his bed, her heart heavy with sadness. She missed his laughter, his bright eyes. Now, all she could do was watch him sleep, hoping and praying that he would wake up.

When he finally did wake, it wasn't the same Lucifer. He was quieter, more withdrawn. Tears often filled his eyes, and he no longer smiled like he used to. Masha stayed by his side, offering him hugs and soft words, but the grief that hung over him was suffocating.

"I miss them so much," Lucifer whispered one day, his voice breaking. He sat on the floor of Masha's room, staring at the floor, his eyes distant.

Masha knelt beside him, wrapping her arms around him in a tight hug. "I know you do," she whispered, resting her head on his shoulder. "But I'm here, Lucifer. I'll always be here."

Lucifer leaned into her, tears spilling from his eyes. "I don't know what to do without them," he admitted, his voice filled with pain.

Masha's heart ached for him, but she held him tighter. "You don't have to do it alone. You have me. And my mom and dad. We'll take care of you."

Over time, Lucifer began to open up more, though the sadness never fully left his eyes. Years passed, and soon they were in their first year of middle school. The bond between Lucifer and Masha grew even stronger, their friendship deepened by the grief they had shared.

One morning, as they walked to school together, Masha reached for Lucifer's hand. He hesitated for a moment but then took it, the warmth of her touch a small comfort.

"Are you okay?" Masha asked, her voice soft as they walked.

Lucifer glanced at her, his blue eyes reflecting the lingering sadness he still carried. But there was also gratitude in them. "Yeah," he said quietly, giving her hand a gentle squeeze. "I think I'm going to be okay."

And together, hand in hand, they continued forward.
