Adhithya's POV

Oh my God, why the hell do I have so much work today? I’m really dying to talk with her, but I have to finish this as soon as possible, I sighed.

Finally, I finished my work and smiled like a teenager. It’s already late… is she waiting for my text, or has she already gone to sleep? I packed up and headed home, feeling the exhaustion from the long, tiring day. By the time I got back, it wasn’t too late, but still... okay, come on, just text her. After that, it’ll be in God’s hands, I thought while driving.

As soon as I got home, I freshened up, trying to shake off the fatigue from the day. My mind kept drifting back to her, wondering if she was still awake, waiting for my message. I grabbed my phone, staring at the screen for a second, debating.

Alright, enough hesitation. I typed out a quick message and hit send. Now it’s out of my hands. Let's see what happens.

Adhithya: Hii! 🙃

Adhithya: Sorry for the late message. I got caught up with some work. ☹️

Adhithya: Did you sleep? Did I disturb you? 😞

I hit send, my heart racing a little as I waited for her response. I couldn't help but smile, hoping she’d still be awake.

A few moments later, my phone buzzed with her reply, and my excitement bubbled up inside me.

Akshara: Hey! No worries! I was just about to sleep, but you didn't disturb me at all. How's your day going? 😀

Her quick response made me feel lighter, and I was eager to keep the conversation flowing.

Adhithya: It's been busy, but productive. Just wrapping up some projects. How about you?

I could feel the anticipation building as I waited for her to reply, relieved that she seemed interested in our conversation.

Akshara: Just finished up some tasks at work. It's been a long day, but I'm glad to be home now.

Adhithya: Glad to hear that. So, how's your ankle? You were pretty brave about it earlier.

I smiled, genuinely concerned for her well-being.

Akshara: It's much better, thanks! Just a little sore, but I can manage.

Adhithya: Good to know! Let me know if you need a personal nurse. 😉

I chuckled to myself, enjoying the playful banter.

Akshara: Haha, I might take you up on that!

Adhithya: I'm serious! I'd be happy to help. Besides, I owe you for almost letting you fall!

I chuckled at the memory of that day, my arms around her waist as I saved her from falling.

Akshara: You definitely saved me from an embarrassing moment!
