At the Parking Lot

As they walked to the car, Akshara held onto Adhithya's hand tightly, still trembling from the encounter. He noticed her unease and gently squeezed her hand, offering silent reassurance.

When they reached the car, Adhithya opened the door for her, ensuring she was settled before taking his place in the driver's seat. The silence in the car was heavy, filled with unspoken words and lingering fear.

Adhithya finally broke the silence, his voice soft but firm. "Akshara, you don't have to worry about Sameer anymore. I'll make sure he doesn't bother you again."

She looked at him, her eyes filled with gratitude and emotion. "Thank you, Adhithya... I don't know what would've happened if you hadn't shown up."

His jaw clenched at the thought. "I'll never let anyone hurt you. Ever." His words were a vow, his gaze unwavering as he glanced at her.

Akshara smiled faintly, comforted by his presence. "You're always there for me. I don't know how to thank you enough."

Adhithya reached out, brushing a strand of hair from her face. "You don't need to thank me, Akshara. You mean everything to me."

Her heart skipped a beat at his words, emotions swirling within her. She knew Adhithya cared deeply for her, but hearing him say it out loud made her feel a warmth she couldn't describe.

As they drove in silence, Akshara found herself reflecting on the events of the day. She realized just how much Adhithya had come to mean to her. His unwavering support, his protective nature, and the way he always seemed to know what she needed - it all made her heart flutter.

When they reached her apartment, Adhithya parked the car and turned to her. "Akshara, don't think about that incident, okay?"

She nodded slowly. "It's just... I never thought he could do something like that."

Adhithya sighed, running a hand through his hair. "People aren't always what they seem. But you don't have to face any of it alone. You have me."

Akshara smiled faintly, the corners of her lips lifting. "You're always there for me, Adhithya. I don't know how to thank you enough."

He shook his head. "You don't have to thank me. That's what you do for the people you care about... you protect them."

Her heart fluttered at his words, warmth spreading through her chest. "Still, I feel lucky to have you."

Adhithya looked at her with a quiet intensity, his voice dropping to a gentle murmur. "It's not about luck, Akshara. It's about knowing where you belong... and who you belong with."

Her eyes widened slightly, and she felt her heart skip a beat. "What do you mean?"

He leaned back, his gaze never leaving hers. "I mean... you've always been more important to me. You've been on my mind every single day."
