Author's POV
The Next day
The soft rays of the morning sun peeked through the curtains, gently waking Parvathi from her sleep. She stretched lazily, rubbing her eyes as the scent of freshly brewed coffee filled the air.
"Good morning, sleepyhead!" Akshara greeted, entering the room with a cup of coffee.
"Morning, Akshu," Parvathi said with a smile. "You're up early."
"Of course! I'm not the one who had a long journey yesterday," Akshara teased, handing her the coffee.
As Parvathi took a sip, she remembered something. "Wait... Don't you have work today?"
"Yes, but I took a leave. I want to spend some time with my bestie too," Akshara said, sipping her coffee.
"Oh, my sweet Akshu! You're the best cousin ever," Parvathi exclaimed, grinning.
"Then what about us, little one?" Sanjana asked, raising her eyebrow playfully.
"Don't call me that, Sanju! I'm not a little one," Parvathi whined. "I'm a grown woman, NOT a little one!" she said, offended.
"Well, you're still little, and we're older than you," Riya teased with a smirk.
"Whatever. I hate you guys," Parvathi said, annoyed.
"BUT WE LOVE YOU!" they all said in unison.
All of them smiled at each other, their laughter filling the room.
Suddenly, Parvathi remembered something. "Wait... Baava said he'd come in the morning!"
"Yeah, yeah. He called earlier. He'll be here in a while," Akshara informed her.
After some time, the doorbell rang.
"I guess that's him," Akshara said, heading to the door, excited to meet her brother.
When they opened the door, there stood Karthik, looking calm and composed as ever, dressed in a formal shirt and jeans, with his usual charming smile.
"Good morning, girls," he greeted warmly.
"Anna!" Akshara exclaimed and hugged him tightly.
"It's good to see you too, Akshu," Karthik said, patting her back.
Riya and Sanjana joined them, greeting Karthik with cheerful smiles.
"Come inside, Bhai. How was your journey?" Sanjana asked kindly.
"It was fine. I actually came to check on you guys," Karthik replied, settling on the couch.
"How are you all?" Karthik asked, looking around. Then, pointing at Parvathi, he added, "Did she annoy you much?"
