Alex pov

I awoke the next morning and I quickly made my way downstairs to Sarah's nursery I saw Selene sitting in a rocking chair with Sarah in her arms she was not wearing her helmet

Alex: good morning Selene

Selene: good morning Alex

Sarah began playing with Selenes hair giggling happily Selene chuckled happily and placed Sarah in her crib

Sarah: momma no go

Selene froze on spot at Sarah's plea I placed my hand on Selene shoulder only for her too look into my eyes and quickly pulled me into a passionate kiss which I returned happily we broke apart

Selene eyes widened in surprise before I gave her a sly smile she quickly placed her helmet on her head

Selene: I'm sorry my lord that was a mistake I need to go

Alex: selene don't go stay with me please

Selene: I'm sorry but I must go on my rounds

I watched as Selene rushes out of my house I felt my heartbreaking I sat down in the rocking chair and I began breaking down into tears

Sarah: papa sad

Alex: I'll be okay sweetheart

Sarah: momma makes papa sad

Alex: don't worry about it sweetie get some rest

Sarah: but I want to play

Alex: well okay

I got Sarah dressed in a pink sun dress and we quickly went to the beach and began making sand castles

I closed my eyes and basked in the sunshine I heard someone approaching I opened my eyes to see Daphne placing a Ruby necklace around my daughters neck

Daphne: here you go little one I hope you like it

Alex: what do you think you're doing

Daphne: Serenity told me that Sarah hasn't had a birthday party or a birthday present yet

Alex: I thank you for that but now we must take our leave

Daphne: be sure to throw the little one a birthday party while you still have the chance

Alex: what is that supposed to mean

Daphne: don't worry about it

I made my way back to my house I placed Sarah in her play pen and she fell to the ground unconscious i picked her up and brought to the gaurd tower

Alex: selene something is wrong with Sarah

Selene quickly ran towards us and placed Sarah on her cot and began trying to wake her up

Selene: she's been cursed their is nothing else that I can do

Alex: Daphne will pay for this

We quickly made our way towards the entrance of the inn we kicked down the door to find the room empty their was a note attached to the wall it read

Dear Selene sorry I had to leave so soon after our reunion but I have done what I wanted to do now tell Lord Alex that plans are in motion and their nothing he can do to stop whatever happens next i hope the little one enjoys her birthday present your sister Daphne The Priestess Of Alek

Selene: damn you Daphne

Alex: I need to find someone who can reverse what she has done to my daughter

Selene: I'd suggest a Warlock named Adam Cain but he's very hard to find

Alex: you stay with Sarah I have a Warlock to find

I made my way towards my home and got dressed in leather armor and I sheathed a sword on my back I knew that things were about to get very interesting
