ABUJA, NIGERIA

"I know Sa'eed can be very very ludicrous at times and it appears you don't want to tell me so I won't pry. Nevertheless whatever it is, please my dear Jidda, take your time." Hajiya Maimuna, Sa'eed's mother said. Hauwa was awestruck by the woman's kindness. If it was another woman then she would have certainly carried a grudge against her for running away without any reason and loathing her son but here she is telling her to take her time with a bright and beautiful smile on her face.

"I'm sorry Mami, I know my actions caused you to lose face in front of people who respect you and I still haven't told you my reason," Hauwa said.
"Hauwa I'm not upset with you because I trust you and I know you are a good person but if you keep apologizing, I'll become upset." Mami admonished.
"Okay, Mami."
"C'mon, Safira, and Safina will take you to your apartment," Mami said with a smile as she stood up and helped Hauwa stand up too.

Hauwa had been brought to Abuja about an hour ago but because of what happened none of Sa'eed's extended family were there to welcome her. Mami had welcomed her into the family though the frown on Hauwa's face refused to disappear but Mami ignored it all. She later took her to her room and preached to her, advised her on marriage, and told her to take her time with Sa'eed.

Adda Bahijja is the oldest in the Mato family, followed by Sa'eed, Fahad, Safar, Safina, and Safira, and then the last born Ajmal.

They were all loving to her even after what she had done but Safar had to through snide remarks and her together with a lady about her age and Hauwa had immediately guessed she was the Mardiyya Safira and Safina had told her about. Sa'eed had disappeared ever since she arrived and she couldn't be happier.

Safira and Safina held her hand, leading her through the opulent Mato mansion, its grandeur leaving Hauwa breathless. Crystal chandeliers hung from the ceiling, casting a warm glow on the marble floors. They walked past a sprawling garden, its beauty momentarily distracting Hauwa from her turmoil.

As they approached Sa'eed's apartment, the scent of Tom Ford and Bakhoor wafted through the air, instantly reminding her of him. Her heart sank.

"This is Ya Sa'eed's apartment," Safira announced, opening the door.

Hauwa's eyes widened as she stepped inside. The living room boasted sleek white furniture, while one-bedroom was adorned in elegant gray tones and the other in dramatic black. The space reeked of Sa'eed's signature style – extravagant and imposing.

"It's beautiful," Hauwa managed, her voice barely above a whisper.

Safina smiled. "Ya Sa'eed has great taste."

Hauwa's gaze drifted around the room, her mind racing. This was how she'd envisioned their life together – luxurious and happy. But Sa'eed's actions had shattered that dream.

"I'll show you around," Safira offered.

As they explored the apartment, Hauwa's thoughts lingered on Sa'eed. Aisha's words echoed in her mind – "Maybe you should listen to him." But Hauwa quickly dismissed the notion. She knew he was guilty; listening would only waste her time.

"I hate him," she whispered to herself.

Safina noticed her distant expression. "Adda Jidda, are you okay?"

Hauwa forced a smile. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just overwhelmed."

Safira nodded sympathetically. "We're here for you."

As they showed her around the boy's apartment, Hauwa made a mental note to explore the Mato mansion later. Its grandeur and secrets intrigued her.

"Does each boy have an apartment?" Hauwa asked.
