It's been a month or so since I've seen any of the boys or Amy. I've been out with Fran and Alice a few times just for lunch and little catch ups but I've mostly just been concentrating on my new apartment and decorating the place. In the bedroom, I just have a simple wooden double bed with white bedding and then I have a small walk in wardrobe and a vanity with all of my make up and essentials on. In the bathroom, I decided to convert the bath into a shower just because I mostly take showers more than I do baths and it actually gave me more space in the bathroom. The kitchen now has a fridge, cooker and sink in which I fit mostly by myself surprisingly as I'm not really a handy women. The living area has a large sofa with fluffy cushions on and a flat screen TV on the wall under the electric fire place. I said to the girls that when they're all free, I'll have to have a house warming party as it's all decorated now.
On that thought, I pick up my phone and ring Amy. It rings once before she picks up.
"Hey." She says, sounding happy.
"Hey, how are you?" I say.
"I'm good, when can I come down and visit, I miss you loads." She says, her voice becoming lower.
"I miss you too. That's what I was calling you about actually, when are you free next because the apartment is finally finished." I say, smiling, feeling relived.
"This weekend sound good?" She says, getting excited.
"Sounds great." I say, before telling her to just go ahead and invite the boys as well. I mean there's so reason not to, everything between me and Brad was all good.
After finishing my phone call with Amy, I sit down and write a list of people I wanted to invite. I had a couple of old school friends and people I just know in general. Obviously Fran and Alice would be coming. I didn't want to invite my parents just because they've already seen the apartment and I know my mum isn't quite the party type. When I finish choosing the people I wanted to invited, I send them all a Facebook message or text.
I wouldn't say I've properly spoken to Brad in the past month, I been we've texted each other on a few odd occasions but nothing special. I would be lying if I said I didn't like him still. I'm actually looking forward to see him.
Brad's P.O.V
It's been a month since I've seen Grace and ever since then I haven't been able to stop thinking about her. I get a text from Connor saying that she's having a little house warming party in her apartment and she's invited all of us to go down their next weekend. Thankfully, the boys already go and book a hotel for all of us to stay in because quite frankly, I don't think we would all fit in her place. I decide to send her a quick text.
To: Grace
Can't wait to see you Saturday x
My finger hovers over the send button before I pluck up the courage to press it. I didn't want to come off too strong, what if she still needed her time? And how is a real relationship between us supposed to work with the distance between us. It was easier before, when she lived in London. I think that's why we rushed into everything so quickly. We just thought, why not?
Grace's P.O.V
Today was Saturday which mean't, tonight was the party and I was going to see Brad again. At around 4 I get a text from Amy saying that her and the boys have arrived at the hotel and they'll see me at 6 when the party starts. As I respond, I think now's a good time to start getting ready. I wanted to spend a little more time getting ready tonight because I haven't seen all of them in ages and it was kinda like a special occasion. And, I wanted to look hot because Brad was coming and I couldn't wait to see him.
