Ruby's pov:
I make it to my house, great my parents are here. I walk inside and head to my room, despite my mom's protests. I slam the door when I walk in and jump on my bed. I grab my headphones, and put them on noise cancellation.
I sigh as I lay down. Then the door swings open.
"What do you want?" I say already annoyed.
"Oh. So we're gonna be like that? WE'RE GONNA BE LIKE THAT?" My dad yelled.
"Why does no one in my friend group have normal parents." I mumble under my breath.
"WELL IS IT MY FAULT YOUR PRINCIPAL CALLED, SUSPENDING YOU?!"
"So you wanna play the blame game Wyatt?"
"Don't you DARE CALL ME THA-"
"When I finish." I held up a finger silencing him. "I hope you can count, cuz I got a lotta things to say about you. You're never here, always leave me in in tears, only care about buying some automobile, steal, you weren't even at moms gender reveal, clutching a can of beer, randomly disappear, leaving me in fear, well not anymore, you raggedy old man with no beard." As I say that, my mom comes in.
"Honey, what's this?" Mom asks me.
"So you wanna end up like him?" I say as I point to my dad, standing there in distress.
"What did you d-"
"Well why do I show you?" She shuts up real quick. "See. I would hold back, but where's the fun in that?"
"Ruby Rose Tur-"
"It's Burner now" I hold up my finger, silencing her now. "Now where do I start? When you ran and broke my heart? Failed outta college, dated a man who was retarded, seems you really aren't that smart. Alright, I'm not finished don't worry."
"I-"
"Already stuttering I see. Pathetic." As I say that I walk out of my room and then yell "I'm going to see Morgan!"
As I walk outside I see Kylie running up to me.
"Ky?"
Kylie's pov:
I run up and hug Ruby, I can tell she's hurt.
"Rubes, what happened?"
"I just need to get away."
"Ruby look at me"
"I just need to get away."
"Well then ima flip this whole world upside down just to find you. I'm not letting you do this again."
"I just-" she was cut off by sobbing. I bring her closer and carry her to the car.
She can heal her.
