I Just Need A Minute

Morgan pov:
As soon as I got home, since I finally moved out of my parents house I live alone in a tiny apartment in Long Island, New York. And recently, there's been a lot of bomb and shooting threats it this area. Why can't I live in a safer area.

I go to open the door for Ruby, as I hold my hand out. She then grabs it and interlocks our fingers. I start to blush, and she notices. So she kisses my cheek and puts her head on my shoulder. I kiss her head and start to walk inside, still holding onto her hand.

We get inside, and I get a call.

"Who's that's?" Ruby asks curiously.

"Hopefully Malia?" I say as I took out my phone.

I notice it was and unknown number so I just end the call.

"That was weird" Ruby says as she looks at me.

"I know right?" I respond

"I wonder who that wa-" she was cut off bye my phone ringing again.

See now I'm scared. Cuz like...why the calling twice? I decline the call and head to the kitchen, just to run back because I got another call yet again.

"Morgan just pick it up." Ruby says as she's getting annoyed with these calls.

"Okay fine." I say as I pick up the phone and put it on speaker.

"YOU DID WHAT IN SCHOOL?!?!?!?" A feminine voice says from the phone.

"Mom!?"

Malia's pov:

"Guys I'm scared." I said in a panicky tone.

"Why? It's not like you're the one who got in trouble." Peder says trying to make a point.

"No you don't understand! Morgan's parents aren't the best in the world."

"Ok now what do you mean by that?" Josh says while turning his head.

"They abused her for every little mistake." I say while my voice is barely a whisper.

Their mouths all drop.

"Yea..." I start to continue while they're all in shock, "and this situation. Even if she lives alone they are going to find her, and punish her. And they most likely won't accept that she's dating a girl."

"Wait she has a girlfriend?" Kylie asks confused.

"Yea. Ruby."

"Omg finally. It's been how long now?"

"Not important. What's really important of that she's endanger. And we have to save her if we ever want to see her again."

"And what are going to do exactly?" Peder asks

"We're going to catch them in the act."

Morgan's pov:

"AND DAD TOO!" My dad yells through the phone.

I just hanged up the call before they can track my location. I don't need anymore stress in my life. I watch as Ruby's expression turns into concern. She walks over to me and places her hand on my shoulder. I just pull her into an embrace as I break down.

"Shh. It's okay baby calm down. They can't do anything to you, I won't let them." She says as she kisses my cheek.

She then picks me up and puts me on the couch.

I start to blush a little bit while crying, and she kisses me, then cuddles into me and I completely forget y I was crying.

I wake up and see Ruby on the ground, covered in blood. I run up to her and hold her.
