beyond the screen

first day filming

 just to clarify this is the day after meeting everyone

~y/n pov~

Today is the first day we are going to start filming and to say I'm excited is an understatement. My mum dropped me off to the set again at the crack of dawn and I went to the makeup and wardrobe areas to begin getting into character. 

As people began doing my makeup and getting my hair done, I read over the rough layout for the day given to me by Joe russo. Today will be a little bit hectic at the start with me having to film three scenes consecutively, then I have a lunch break, then some more shooting. 

After getting my face all prepped I got into my costume - a sleek black fighting suit with purple lines running down the sides. I also get a black mask, similar to bucky's in earlier movies, and lots of little props and gear attached to my suit. Then it was time for the cast meeting before filming.

I walked into a meeting room with a large rectangle table in the back. Surprisingly I was early and the first one, so I went and sat on the end of the table. One by one Chris Evans, Sebastian Stan, and Anthony Mackie walked inside nodding hello to me, wearing their costumes for the scene. Scarlett came in and sat next to me smiling. 

"Hey y/n, first day of filming, how are we feeling?" she asked, nudging me gently. 

"Honeslty I'm so excited to start, this has been my dream for years. Working with you and the others is so surreal." I replied. 

Before Scarlett could say anything in reply the russo brothers walked in. 

"Hey guys, good to see you all here. Let's just get started on the overview of the scene today." Joe said, and began running over the choreography, technical stuff, and stunt overview. "Anyways so that's all, see you at the set in ten." he finished. 

~at the set~

i've been on many sets before but nothing as amazing as this. A warehouse had been transformed into a Hydra base with eerie lights and fog machines, making it look highly realistic. Cameras were set up everywhere and lots of crew members holding equipment and managing cameras and lights worked away. I sat down at a fold out chair with my name on it. Scarlett came and sat next to me. 

"Hi Scarlett," I said to her. "Hey y/n. Damn cool set right?" she asked, looking around. 

"Yeah it really is, its definitely the best I've been on." I exclaimed. 

"I'm not sure about that," Scarlett smirked. I looked at her raising a eyebrow. 

"Really? What is the coolest set you've been on?" I asked her. Really I was curious becuase with her experience, she's had the privilege to be on amazing sets. She began telling me and we started trading acting stories. 
"Five minutes warning!" a voice boomed out and everyone went to their positions. 

"Lights, camera, action!" Anthony Russo called out and we began our scene. 

~time skip to lunch~

I went to a pop up tent with a table full of food ordered from somewhere. I filled up a plate with food and sat down by myself. Scarlett was busy doing something with the stunt team so we couldn't eat together. I began eating when someone came over. 
"hey is this seat taken?" a deep voice asked. I looked up to see Chris Evans holding a plate of food and looking at me. I quickly swallowed down my food. 

"Uhm, yeah that's free." I replied. 

"Cool. Mind if I sit here too?" he asked. I nodded in response. He began eating and looked up at me. 

"So y/n. I just wanted to say, you have so much talent. I noticed it today when we were filming. You really become the character and never mess up the lines! Super impressive." he said. I blushed. It's not everyday you get complimented by one of your idols. 

"Thanks. Your also a great actor as well. You saying that means so much to me, thank you." I said. He chuckled. "You said thanks twice." 

"How else am I supposed to tell you how much it means then?" I joked. 

~time skip~

Filming for the day finished and it was already 5. I caught a taxi back home, a small 2 bedroom 1 bathroom apartment just on the outskirts of Hollywood. I arrived home with no one there. This isn't unusual as my mum works full time as a nurse and has very late shifts, meaning I have to make my own dinner and do lots of house chores. Usually i'd make something, like spaghetti or lasagna, but today I was too tired to bother so I ordered in some (your favourite food) on door dash. I sat on the couch and opened up my phone to find hundreds of notifications from a group chat.
