beyond the screen

comic con (i'm famous now)

We finally make it to the San Diego comic con. People are everywhere, a mix of normal tourists and people all dressed up as their favourite characters. We park in the VIP area and quickly get whisked away to where the Marvel cast and directors are. 

"Hey guys,  good to see you made it safely. We're just going to have a quick rehearsal of what the panel will look like." Kevin Feige said. We headed to the panel room in Hall H, were it was empty expect for the crew setting up lights and videos. 

"Alright, as we know today we will reveal the making of the film, show the cast for it, and also tell about the upcoming film Antman. Anyways, here is a list of what you can and can not say during the conference. Please remember this, we'd hate for someone to spoil something." Kevin said, and his assistant gave us all a pamphlet of the list, plus the timetable and accommodation. 

We then began a rough run through of the event, and then the crew began checking everything works so we were left alone for a bit backstage.

I was so nervous about the panel. What if I accidentally spoiled something? They won't fire me, but it would be horrifying for me. I began shaking my leg up and down, something I do whenever I feel anxious. A hand went on my leg and my heart stopped. I flinched and jerked my leg away. I looked up to see Lizzy looking at me confused. 

~lizzy's pov~

We were left to our own devices for a few minutes and the cast broke off in various conversation. Me, Scar, and y/n all sat down together backstage. We began talking about random things, and I didn't even realise y/n wasn't saying anything. I looked over at her and saw her zoned out and jiggling her right leg. Y/n has done this a few times already during meetings and filming briefs. 

I put my hand out and placed it on her knee to stop her leg from moving. She stopped for a split second, I swear I could see the blood drain from her face. She flinched and quickly moved her leg away, looking up in fear. I met her eyes and watched her eyes as they looked at me in a way she's never looked at me, or anyone, before. There was an awkward silence as she realised who I was. 

"Y/n over here please," a crew member called out and she quickly got up and left without meeting my eyes. I frowned and looked at Scarlett who looked as confused as I was. 

"Is she ok? What was that about?" Scar asked. 

"Um, to be honest I don't know. I think maybe I overestimated our relationship, and invaded her personal space. I'll have to apologise later." I said. "Yeah, she must have just been caught by surprise." Scarlett agreed. "Yeah, mhm." 

But that look, the fear in her eyes when she looked at me, could not be something  when you're caught by surprise. I could see her face and she seemed to be in a different place. Just then we got the ten minute warning. I could hear the audience come into the hall, excitement radiating through the curtains. I'll talk to y/n after the conference. 

~third person pov~

The lights dimmed and the iconic Marvel intro began playing on the big screen as the familiar music played. Moments later, Kevin Feige walked on stage and the audience broke out in cheers and applause. 

"Thank you, thank you for coming to the 2015 Comic Con! We've got some very special announcements today!" he called out into his mic, barely audible over the cheers.

One by one in a dramatic fashion, he introduced the cast for a new upcoming film. The crowd got louder with each person, as the original six avengers actors came on stage, followed by Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, and Elizabeth Olsen, and they each took their seats. 

"But we're not done yet. We have a new member joining the marvel family in our new movie!" Kevin announced. The lights dimmed even more and suspenseful music began playing and the crowd began a drumroll of sorts.
