The courtyard descended into chaos as everyone turned toward the bleachers, where shadows moved swiftly. Lila's heart pounded in her chest, her eyes darting to Noah and her friends, who were all on high alert. Whatever was happening, it wasn't part of Renzo's ridiculous games. This was something different.

"What's going on?" Cathy asked, her voice barely above a whisper as she edged closer to the group.

"Stay close," Noah murmured, his gaze scanning the area. "Something's off."

Before anyone could react, a figure stepped out from behind the bleachers, clapping slowly. The crowd fell silent, their attention shifting from the games to the newcomer. It was Asher—one of Renzo's closest allies, but today, he looked different. Dark, calculating.

"Asher?" Renzo called out, his voice shaking with a mixture of confusion and anger. "What are you doing?"

Asher's smirk widened as he surveyed the crowd. "I'm just here to make things a little more... interesting."

Lila felt a cold shiver run down her spine. Something about Asher's presence was unsettling, and she could see that she wasn't the only one who felt it. Kira, normally confident and fearless, took a step back, her face pale.

"What are you talking about?" Renzo demanded, his bravado faltering.

Asher ignored him, turning instead to Lila. "I have a little secret to share with everyone," he said, his voice dripping with malice. "You see, this whole showdown? It's been a distraction. While you've all been playing games, I've been uncovering things—things about Renzo, about Noah, and even about Lila."

Lila's breath caught in her throat. She glanced at Noah, who looked just as confused as she felt.

"What is he talking about?" she whispered.

Noah shook his head, his expression hardening. "I don't know, but we're about to find out."

Asher took a step closer, his eyes gleaming with anticipation. "Let's start with Renzo, shall we?" he said, turning to face the crowd. "Renzo's been flaunting his wealth, acting like he's untouchable, but here's the truth—he's broke. His family's business is on the brink of collapse, and he's been hiding it from all of you."

Gasps rippled through the crowd, and Renzo's face turned ghostly pale. "That's a lie!" he shouted, but his voice lacked the usual confidence.

Asher shrugged. "Believe what you want, but the truth is out there now." He turned his gaze to Noah, a wicked smile spreading across his face. "And now for you, Noah. The quiet, humble guy who's been flying under the radar. Funny how no one noticed how rich you actually are."

Lila's eyes widened. Noah? Rich? That didn't make any sense. She looked at him, expecting him to deny it, but instead, he remained silent, his jaw clenched.

"What?" Lila whispered, disbelief flooding her. "Is that true?"

Noah didn't meet her gaze. He stared straight ahead, as if weighing his options. Finally, he sighed. "I didn't want anyone to know," he admitted quietly, his voice strained. "I didn't want it to define me."

Lila's mind spun. She had no idea Noah was hiding such a huge part of his life. And then it hit her—this was why he had always been so guarded, so hesitant to open up.

Asher chuckled, clearly enjoying the chaos he had stirred. "Well, now everyone knows," he said, turning back to the crowd. "The humble Noah is actually richer than Renzo, but he's been keeping it hidden all this time."

The crowd buzzed with whispers and shocked glances. Lila felt her world shifting, everything she thought she knew about Noah suddenly in question. Why hadn't he told her? Why had he kept this secret?

But before she could dwell on it, Asher took another step forward, his gaze locking on her. "And now, for the final secret—Lila."

The crowd hushed, and Lila's heart raced.

"You've been pretending to be this sweet, innocent girl, but you're just as good at playing games as the rest of us, aren't you?" Asher taunted, his voice low and dangerous. "Tell me, Lila, does Noah know about Eli?"

Lila's stomach dropped. Eli. The name she had tried to bury, the person she had tried to forget. She felt the weight of everyone's eyes on her, including Noah's. His expression was unreadable, but she could sense the hurt behind his silence.

"What about Eli?" Noah asked, his voice cold.

Lila opened her mouth to explain, but the words wouldn't come. How could she explain something that even she didn't fully understand? Eli had been a mistake, a part of her past she had hoped to move on from. But now, in front of everyone, it felt like her whole world was unraveling.

Asher grinned, clearly satisfied with the chaos he had caused. "Looks like the truth hurts, doesn't it?"

Lila's mind raced. She couldn't let Asher destroy everything she had worked for. She had to fight back. "You don't know anything about me," she said, her voice steady despite the turmoil inside. "You think you can control us with your lies and secrets, but you're wrong."

She turned to face the crowd, her heart pounding. "We all have things we've hidden, mistakes we've made. But that doesn't define us. What defines us is how we move forward, how we choose to live our lives."

The crowd was silent, hanging on her every word.

"I'm not perfect, and neither is Noah or Renzo or anyone else. But we're stronger together than you think. We won't let you tear us apart."

Asher's smile faltered, and for the first time, Lila saw uncertainty in his eyes.

Noah stepped forward, his voice calm but firm. "She's right," he said. "We're done with your games, Asher. You can't manipulate us anymore."

The tension in the courtyard was palpable as the crowd waited to see what would happen next. Asher looked from Lila to Noah, his smirk fading.

"You think you've won," he sneered. "But this isn't over."

He turned and disappeared into the crowd, leaving behind a trail of uncertainty and unanswered questions.

Lila stood frozen, her mind still reeling from everything that had just happened. She felt Noah's hand on her shoulder, grounding her.

"We'll figure this out," he said quietly.

Lila nodded, but deep down, she knew that things would never be the same again.
