A missed text from him
Two missed greetings
He says he misses her
With bloomed poppies
Sprouting from her mouth
She says
I miss you too
Colon three
She doesn't.
She doesn't miss him
Not one bit
She's fine where she is
Place bets whether she'd lost her mind
Colon three
A smile
A fake, merciful smile
With colon three
She misses him
Not in a way he wanted
But in a way she wanted
She wanted to feel
The wind, the scent
Of blooming lilies
Scented blossoms,
Roses
As they graze her tongue
Down her throat
In her stomach, and
Back up
"I love you"
Colon three
"Me too"
Colon, close bracket
She likes him
He likes her
Not the way they used to
But similar.
