This just in:
I've come to the conclusion that
I'll spend the rest of my life in a state
Of constant contradiction
The hotel's been long shut down, there's an ocean of dirtied lights
The floor is stained and wallpaper is yellowed
And the walls have been torn down, yet the hotel's inhabitants remain
Now I'm the crumbs of what's left of the main course
Some people call me the plate instead,
I believe them, but
Yet I don't.
The globe is losing colour literally,
Inflation is costing not only money but lives,
Numbers are getting harder to count and
words are swimming in a state
Of dyslexia everybody understands but not
But why do I care?
I want to go back there
To the times where everything was simple,
When happiness costed so little,
and smiles were so easily spread like butter across a warm toast
Bright lights fill my brain.
Reaching for the controller,
On.
