The tour bus traveled through the Swiss Alps. It passed over high hills and luscious green forests. Trees surrounded the road, complemented by the occasional small village. The black bus seemed to be the only vehicle on the road as it made its winding journey.

Y/N was sitting in a seat on his own on the bus. He wanted to be alone for a moment to collect his thoughts. He was conflicted. On one hand, he wanted to help Fury and Beck. They were heroes like him just trying to save the world from a legitimately terrible threat. But on the other hand, he just wanted a nice vacation without the worry. Maybe he was being selfish. But what could he do against creatures such as those they were up against? He was just a small time hero from New York. He wasn't Iron Man. He couldn't do the things he did. Heck, he wasn't even like Spider-Man who could deal with street-level threats but had also been to space and fought Captain America. Y/N just wasn't any of that. The biggest threat he'd dealt with up to that point was a maniacal inventor in a ripoff Iron Man suit.

Y/N stared out the window, letting his mind wander. He eventually looked down, conflicted with his thoughts. That was when he spotted something in his bag. Y/N spotted the small wooden glasses case. Y/N grabbed the case and opened it up. He spotted the nice pair of glasses inside. They didn't look much more than that. Maybe Stark had just left them as a neat little gift, nothing major.

Curious, Y/N tried on the glasses. He let then rest gently on his head. They were a little big, but still comfortable in their current position. The lens had a light blue filter over them, similar to blue light glasses.

Y/N shrugged. They were neat, but nothing major. He was actually curious now as to why these things were even listed in Tony's will. That was when he spotted a piece of paper inside the sleeve of the case. He picked it up and turned it over. The initials on the message read "T.S.". Y/N looked at the message, reading it aloud.

Y/N: "For the next Tony Stark, I trust you. P.S. Say EDITH."

Suddenly, the lenses on the pair of the glasses flickered on and lit up with a faint blue light. Y/N then saw something else appear. Flashing images and digital displays appeared in the glasses. Y/N realized what it was. The glasses acted as a sort of HUD. The young man was caught off guard again by a female voice talking to him through a speaker located near the edges of the glasses.

EDITH: Stand by for retinal and biometric scan.

A faint blue line crossed Y/N's vision as the glasses scanned his eyes. The display in front of him showed his own face being digitally constructed before a file of him popped up.

EDITH: Retinal and biometric scan accepted.

Y/N: Uh, hello?

EDITH: Hello, Y/N. I am EDITH. Tony Stark's augmented-reality security and defense system.

Y/N: Huh. So he made you for me, or Peter, I guess?

EDITH: No. But you have access to all of Tony's protocols.
