ALANA'S POV


"Sana all." I mumble as Cole and I walk through campus. It's White Day, and couples are everywhere—holding hands, showing off gifts, and flaunting their love.



"Need ba talaga niyan?" I grimace at the sight of their over-the-top affection.

"Nagseselos ka ba?" Cole laughs at my reaction, clearly amused.



"Hindi.." I lie. ...Just a little bit envious.




"Well, if may lumapit sayo, dapat ireject mo kaagad." Cole's voice takes on a protective edge.



"I don't think anyone will," I say,



"And besides, I'm an independent woman na, Cole. Malaki na ako para magdecide para sa sarili ko."



"Hindi," Cole insists, not missing a beat. "You can only date someone if approve ako sakanila."

"Sino may sabi?" I challenge her.

"Ako," she grins.


I roll my eyes. "Okay, so what kind of person would you let me date?"


"Hmmm, hindi ko alam? Pero siguro someone sa BINI ganun." she says with a shrug.


"Like who?" I ask, my heart racing a bit. Sabihin mo name ni Mikaela.


"Ikaw?" Cole says teasingly. "Parang excited ka eh, who would you date?"


"If sa BINI, siguro.." My voice trails off as I wonder if I should really say it. "I'd pick M—"


"Wag nga kayo maingay!"



Cole and I quickly turn around, startled by a loud shushing sound. Not far away, BINI members are awkwardly smiling from behind a nearby tree. Omg, muntik pa nila ako mahuli!



"Ingay kasi ni Jo tsaka Stella eh!" Amalia scolds, glaring at her.


"Anong ginagawa niyo?" Cole gives them a pointed look as they approach us.


I lock eyes with Mikaela for a fleeting second before quickly looking away, heart racing. Buti na lang hindi ko sinabi.


"We were just... catching up with you guys," Amalia lies with a too-fake smile.


"Stalkers," Cole mutters under her breath.



"Anyway, ano yung sasabihin ni Lana?" Jo asks smugly, as if she already knows the answer. Nevermind, alam na niya.


"Hahaha..." I laugh nervously, unsure how to respond.


"I was going to say... wala," I finally lie. "You're all my friends."


"Hehehe," Cole laughs hysterically. "Na-friendzone kayong lahat,"

"Ouch," Sienna comments.
