—🦊🐶—THIRD PERSON
Alana parks the car and turns off the engine, sighing as she takes the key out of the ignition. Her gaze drifts to Mikaela, still fast asleep. Mikaela's eyes are gently closed, her long eyelashes resting delicately against her cheeks, and her lips are slightly parted. The sight makes Lana's heart melt. For a moment, she debates whether to wake her up or let her continue sleeping.
"Miks.." Alana leans closer and softly taps Mikaela's shoulder, but all she gets in return is a sleepy groan.
"Huy!" Alana lightly hits her arm this time, and Mikaela stirs from her slumber.
"Oh..." Mikaela yawns, blinking as she looks out the window. "Andito na tayo?"
"Yeah, tara na!" Alana steps out of the car, gesturing for Mikaela to follow.
Mikaela stretches and follows, feeling the cool breeze on her skin and hearing the soft rustling of leaves. "Nasaan tayo?" she asks, her voice still groggy.
"Twin Lakes." Alana responds as they walk toward a trail surrounded by tall trees.
Mikaela nods, taking in the peaceful scenery. The lake is visible in the distance, its surface reflecting the clear blue sky. With the tranquil atmosphere and barely anyone else around, it feels like the perfect romantic setting.
"Dalhin sana kita sa Padre Pio Church pero naisip ko baka tamarin tayo maglakad, so eto it seemed like a better option," Alana chuckles as they continue down the trail.
Mikaela chuckles. "I think fit na ako maghike considering hinabol kita nung nawala ka."
Alana frowns, confused. "Hinabol?"
"Yeah." Mikaela turns to her, pointing a playful finger. "Nung nawala ka, I practically looked for you everywherem and ikaw, hindi mo man lang sinasagot mga tawag ko."
"I'm sorry," Alana mumbles softly. "Ayaw ko na kasi na isipin mo rin ako, and after seeing you with her—Judy—parang hindi ko kaya na harapin ka."
Mikaela sighs deeply. "I didn't send that message. Judy did."
"Oh..." Alana feels speechless. Of course, Judy would do something like that. She shakes her head slightly, feeling foolish for not realizing it sooner.
Mikaela's tone softens. "But maybe I think, it's better na ginawa mo yun. For me to realize that you were the one I like." She places a hand on Alana's shoulder, her touch gentle but firm.
Alana's heart races at Mikaela's words, warmth flooding her body. Her mind feels like it's spinning, her nerves buzzing with energy. As she tries to respond, Mikaela leans in closer, closing the distance between them.
The trees stand tall around them, the blue sky above reflecting the peacefulness of the moment. Everything seems to disappear as Mikaela moves closer, her breath warm and steady, their lips only inches apart. Alana's eyes flutter shut, her heart thudding in her chest—
/RING/
The sudden sound of a phone ringing snaps them both out of the moment. Alana jumps back, startled, while Mikaela lets out a frustrated growl, pulling out her phone.
