—🦊🐶—ALANA'S POV
Alana leans back against the chair, her hand resting over her bloated stomach, which feels like it might burst. A burp threatens to escape, but she clamps a hand over her mouth to stifle it. She's relieved she wore a loose shirt today instead of something tight that would definitely highlight the expanding curve of her belly.
"Hindi na nakakatuwa 'to," Alana mutters, glancing at Mikaela, who sits across from her, barely touching her own food but watching Alanawith an amused smile. "Tataba ako dahil sayo,"
It's their fourth food stop of the day, and Mikaela had already been full after the first restaurant. But Alana, eager to keep up with her, hadn't stopped eating.
"Good," Mikaela huckles, her eyes sparkling with affection. "Mas magiging cute ka,"
Alana scoffs, though her voice is softer, weighed down by her full stomach. "Cute? At this point magiging 10 tayo together, ikaw yung 1 tapos ako magiging 0 sa sobrang taba ko."
Mikaela laughs, her wide smile making Alana's heart flutter despite her discomfort. "I'd love you no matter what,"
Standing up, Mikaela extends her hand. "Tara, patunaw muna tayo as we walk around the place."
Alana takes her hand, feeling Mikaela's surprising strength as she pulls her up with ease. She's always amazed by how effortlessly Mikaela can lift her. "Okay," Alana says, managing a grin despite the heaviness in her gut.
By the time they step outside, the sky has shifted from a deep blue to full-on black. The amusement park's lights twinkle like stars, and the Ferris wheel ahead of them glows in brilliant colors, spinning slowly against the night.
Alana gasps softly, her breath catching in her throat. "Wow... this is my first time seeing a Ferris wheel up close."
Mikaela's eyes soften as she looks at Alana. "Really? It's not my first, but this time's special, kasi kasama kita."
Alana's heart skips at Mikaela's words. She doesn't try to hide the awe in her eyes as she stares at Mikaela, feeling lucky to be part of so many of her firsts.
As the line inches forward, Alana's excitement is slowly overtaken by anxiety. She's always had a fear of heights, and now it's creeping up on her, making her palms sweat. She glances at Mikaela, who's practically bouncing in place with excitement. Alana doesn't want to ruin it for her.
When they finally board the Ferris wheel, Alana tries to focus on her girlfriend, sitting across from her. Mikaela is mesmerized by the view outside, her face glowing from the soft light, but Alana can't bring herself to look out. Her gaze is glued to the floor, trying to ignore the height.
"Lana?" Mikaela's voice is soft as she reaches over, gently pinching Alana's cheek. "Why aren't you looking? The view is amazing."
Alana swallows and forces a smile, looking into her girlfriend's eyes instead. "You're the view," she says, hoping it's convincing enough to hide her fear.
Mikaela smirks. "Smooth, charge na kita for looking at me na."
Alana rolls her eyes, trying to play along. "Hays, kung si Jo yan, hindi niya ako iccharge."
