ALANA'S POV
"Ako na lang."
"...Jo.. Gusto mo ba ako?" I give her a suspicious look.
"Nope."
"Eh bakit mo sinabi na ikaw na lang?"
"Kasi mabait ako at handa naman ako isacrifice single status ko para sayo." Jo chuckles. "Joke lang, I'm sure other members would offer that kaya."
"Thank you, Jo. But no thanks na lang, I'm sure mas bagay kayo ni Stella." I reply, my voice turning into a whisper as I say the last words.
"Bagay kami nino?"
"Wala po."

"Wow, ganda pala dito." I say, staring around in awe at the lights scattered around me. I have to admit, BGC's famous shopping district looks even more mesmerizing at night.
"Miks, wait for me!" Judy runs past me to catch up with her girlfriend, not missing the chance to bump my shoulder on the way. Ano ba problema nito..
"Nakita mo yun?" I ask Jo, who's walking beside me. "That bitc—I mean, girl just purposely hit me."
"Wag mo na pansin, nagseselos lang yan." Jo replies. Siraulo ba siya? Anong pagseselosan niya eh, siya nga yung jowa ni Miks?
"Kamusta kayo ni Miks, anyway?" Jo asks. "Still talking normally?"
"I'm trying to," I admit. But these dumb feelings just keep getting in the way whenever I try to talk to her. Now I understand why one-sided love is so hard.
"Ano nanaman pinag-uusapan niyong dalawa?" Cole suddenly interrupts our conversation, and I nearly jump in surprise.
"Uhm, wala!" I shake my head quickly.
"Weird niyong dalawa these days." Cole says, clearly not buying my bad acting.
"Saan na tayo?" Giselle asks, saving me from further questioning.
We regroup in the middle of the wandering crowd as we chat among ourselves. The girls are clearly oblivious to the attention and ogling eyes from the people around the place.
"We should go eat!" I suggest, trying to sound cheerful.
"No, we should go shopping first," Judy insists. I'm sure she doesn't even care about shopping; she just wants to argue with me. I notice how she gives me attitude whenever the others aren't looking.
"Uh..." The group looks uncomfortable, unsure of what to decide.
"Ewan ko sainyo pero ako parang mas gusto ko muna kumain." Amalia comments. My long-lost sister.
"We're fine with anything," Stella and Giselle reply in unison.
"Tara kain muna tayo, hindi pa ako kumakain eh." Cole adds, and Judy puts on her usual resting bitch face.
"Yeah, I agree." I look up and find myself staring at Mikaela's smile. Mikaela just agreed with me. Act normal, Lana. Act normal.
