As life unfolded smoothly for most, there were still undercurrents of tension brewing between others, especially Hoseok and Y/N. Their relationship, if it could even be called that, was more of a tenuous connection—a balance between Hoseok's desire for love and Y/N's craving for freedom and indulgence.

Hoseok had always been patient, trying to guide Y/N toward a more meaningful connection, but it seemed the more he tried, the more distant Y/N became. She was adamant in her belief that life was meant to be lived with reckless abandon, seeking pleasure without ties, and indulging in desires without emotional attachment. Hoseok, on the other hand, wanted to cherish every moment with her, to build something real and lasting. But Y/N was resistant to love, never believing in it, and certainly never wanting to be caught in its grasp.

Their disagreements had been bubbling under the surface for weeks, small arguments escalating into heated confrontations. Hoseok tried to calm her, to explain his perspective, but it only made Y/N more frustrated. One day, their fight reached its boiling point.

Y/N, her voice sharp and dismissive, snapped, "I don't understand why you have to make everything so serious, Hoseok! Why can't we just have fun?"

Hoseok clenched his fists, his voice shaking with frustration. "Because I don't want just fun, Y/N. I want something real, something that matters. I want to cherish every moment with you, not waste it all on meaningless pleasure."

Y/N rolled her eyes, crossing her arms defiantly. "That's the problem, Hoseok. You're always talking about love, about cherishing moments. I don't want that. I don't believe in love, and I never will."

Hoseok's heart sank. He had always known that Y/N didn't believe in love, but hearing her say it with such conviction stung more than he expected. Desperate to reach her, he raised his voice for the first time. "Stop it, Y/N. Stop acting like this. I don't want to do this with you anymore!"

Y/N's eyes widened in shock, but her pride wouldn't let her back down. Fueled by anger, she retorted, "Fine, then. I don't need you, Hoseok. There are plenty of other guys who would accept me for who I am and wouldn't try to change me."

The words hung in the air like a sword between them. Hoseok's frustration surged into anger, and for a moment, he felt his control slipping. She was taunting him, pushing him to the edge. His voice low and dangerous, he responded, "Is that what you want? Is that what this has been about all along? Fine. If this is what you want, then let me give it to you."

Without waiting for her response, he grabbed her, pulling her into a deep, fierce kiss. It wasn't tender, and it wasn't sweet. It was rough, raw, and filled with all the anger and passion that had been building up between them. Y/N, shocked at first, felt her resistance crumble under the force of Hoseok's emotions. Her body responded before her mind could, and soon they were tangled together, caught in a whirlwind of lust and frustration.

It was as if they were both trying to hurt each other, trying to exorcise the pain and disappointment that had built up between them. They made love as if they were on the edge of destruction, with no care for tenderness. It was wild and reckless, each of them trying to take something from the other, something that neither of them was willing to give willingly. And when it was over, there was no peace, no satisfaction—only emptiness.

Hoseok stood, pulling on his clothes with a sense of finality. His face was unreadable, but his voice was cold. "I'm done, Y/N. I'm leaving. I'll never come back into your life again."

Y/N stared at him, stunned. The reality of what had just happened hit her like a wave, but her pride wouldn't let her show it. She crossed her arms, her voice cold and detached. "Fine. I don't care."

Hoseok didn't say another word as he left.

Everything crumble down and both start to lead their own path.

He walked out of her life, heading to his relative's house in another kingdom, hoping to find peace away from the turmoil Y/N had brought into his heart. Meanwhile, Y/N threw herself into her studies. Her father, a high-ranking minister in foreign affairs, began teaching her the ins and outs of diplomacy and politics, filling her days with lessons and responsibilities that left her little time to think about Hoseok. She buried herself in work, pretending she didn't care, but the emptiness remained.

On the other side of the kingdom, Jimin was fighting his own battle. For years, he had harbored feelings for Yoongi, feelings that only grew stronger with time. From the moment they met as children, Jimin had looked up to Yoongi, admiring him, loving him, hoping that one day Yoongi would see him as more than just a friend. But Yoongi was always distant, always keeping his emotions carefully guarded. And now, after years of waiting, Jimin's patience had run out.

One day, unable to keep his feelings inside any longer, Jimin finally gathered the courage to confess. His heart pounded in his chest as he stood before Yoongi, his hands trembling slightly.

"Yoongi," Jimin began, his voice soft but determined, "I need to tell you something. I've loved you for as long as I can remember. I've been waiting for you to notice, to see me as more than just a friend. I thought... I thought maybe one day you'd feel the same way."

Yoongi's expression didn't change. He looked at Jimin with the same calm detachment he always did, and for a moment, Jimin felt a flicker of hope. But then Yoongi spoke, his voice steady and unfeeling.

"I'm sorry, Jimin. I've never seen you like that. You're a good friend, and I care about you, but I can't love you the way you want me to."

Jimin's world crumbled in that moment. The words hit him like a punch to the gut, and he felt the tears welling up in his eyes. He had always known, deep down, that this might be the outcome, but hearing Yoongi say it so plainly, so emotionlessly, broke him in ways he hadn't expected.

"I thought..." Jimin's voice cracked, and he swallowed hard, trying to hold back the sob that threatened to escape. "I thought maybe as we grew up, you'd start to see me differently. I thought you'd notice how much I love you."

Yoongi sighed, running a hand through his hair. "I'm sorry, Jimin. I didn't mean to hurt you. I just don't feel that way."

Jimin nodded, unable to speak. The tears spilled over, and he quickly turned away, not wanting Yoongi to see him break down. He left without another word, his heart shattered.

For the rest of the day, Jimin cried, the pain of rejection overwhelming him. The cheerful, vibrant spirit that everyone knew and loved seemed to fade, replaced by a dull, hollow version of himself. He withdrew from everyone, avoiding Yoongi at all costs. The sight of him was too painful, a constant reminder of the love Jimin would never have.

Yoongi, seeing the change in Jimin, felt a deep sense of guilt. He hadn't meant to hurt him, but he couldn't ignore the fact that he was the reason Jimin had lost his smile, the reason Jimin was no longer the bright, happy person he used to be.
