The air around the small, isolated cottage buzzed with magic, but not the kind Namjoon was used to wielding. It was oppressive, a heavy weight that stifled his connection to his powers, leaving him feeling trapped. His breaths came in short, ragged gasps as he tried, once again, to force the door open with a flick of his hand. Nothing.

"Damn it," he muttered, frustration coloring his tone. His brow furrowed as he pressed his hands against the wooden door. Sweat beaded on his forehead, his body tensing with the effort of trying to break the spell.

Outside, the witches had gathered. Namjoon couldn't see them, but he could feel their presence, casting spells to suppress his powers. As much as he wanted to burst through the door and face them head-on, something far more dangerous was brewing inside him.

Namjoon turned his attention back to Jin, his eyes dark and filled with fear. He could feel his soul—the chaotic, fiery entity that was RM—stirring inside him, fighting for control. It was only a matter of time before he lost the battle.

"Moon," Namjoon rasped, his voice thick with desperation. "You need to tie me up... before it's too late."

Jin, sitting across the room with his knees hugged tightly to his chest, looked at Namjoon with wide, fearful eyes. His lips trembled, unsure of what to do or say. "What do you mean, tie you up?" Jin's voice cracked. "I can't... I don't want to hurt you."

"I won't be the one getting hurt." Namjoon swallowed hard, already feeling his grip on his consciousness slipping. "Please. I can't... I won't be able to control RM. He'll take over, and you'll be in danger."

Tears brimmed in Jin's eyes as he stood on shaky legs. "But—"

"No!" Namjoon's voice was sharp, urgent. He tore at his shirt, ripping the fabric into strips and handing them to Jin. His fingers were trembling as he held out his wrists. "You have to tie me to the window bars. Do it tightly, Jin. Don't hesitate. If I get free, I'll hurt you. You know that."

Jin hesitated, his heart pounding in his chest as he stared at Namjoon's outstretched hands. He could see the struggle in Namjoon's eyes—the desperate need to protect him from the beast lurking just beneath the surface.

"Please, Moon," Namjoon whispered, his voice softer now, pleading. "I need you to do this."

Jin's hands shook as he took the torn pieces of Namjoon's shirt and slowly, reluctantly, began tying his wrists to the cold, iron bars of the window. He could barely breathe, his fingers fumbling with the knots, but he did as Namjoon asked, securing him as tightly as he could.

Namjoon's breath hitched as he felt the restraints tighten around his wrists. He leaned his head back against the wall, his chest rising and falling heavily. "Thank you," he murmured, though his voice was strained. "Just stay... stay as far away from me as you can."

Jin nodded, though every fiber of his being wanted to run to Namjoon and hold him, comfort him. But he knew better. He crossed the room, curling up in the farthest corner, hugging his knees as his body trembled with fear.

Hours passed, and the air inside the cottage grew thick with tension. Namjoon's grunts of pain echoed through the small space, his muscles straining against the binds as he fought to keep RM from surfacing. His body burned with heat, his rut heightening his physical agony. Sweat poured down his face, but despite the fire coursing through him, the room's temperature plummeted. Icy drafts swept through the cracks in the walls, and the room dipped below freezing.
