A bit of family fun.
And HYDRA, but mainly family stuff.
Enjoy.
As the evening faded into night, the siblings took a well-deserved break from their individual tasks. The sounds of tools and discussions faded, replaced by a comfortable silence as they gathered in the living room. The atmosphere was relaxed, with the flickering light of a lamp casting a warm glow around the room.
After a moment of quiet, Petra broke the silence, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "You know, we've been cooped up in this safe house for too long. I think it would be a great idea for us to go out and explore New York for a bit! There's so much to see, and we could really use a change of scenery."
After all while Petra loved the home they had made for themselves here in the safe house, she honestly was kinda of tired of the whole get supplies, gear, and whatever equipment they needed, and then just come right back.
Whenever they went out into NYC, she was all ways taking aback by the beauty of New York, always wanted to see more every time they went out.
Kaine, however, felt differently immediately shaking his head, his expression serious. "Petra, No. We're already risking it every time we go out to get equipment, gear, clothes, or supplies. We can't afford to draw attention to ourselves by wandering around the city."
Petra crossed her arms, standing her ground. "But we can't stay couped up in here forever! We need to live a little, Kaine. It's not like we can just hide away and forget about everything. We deserve to enjoy life, even if it's just for a little while."
Jessica, who had been listening quietly, chimed in supportively. "I think Petra has a point. It wouldn't be bad to explore the city a bit. We could find some cool places and maybe even meet some people probably. But... we need to be cautious about it."
Ben nodded, his enthusiasm matching Petra's. "Yeah, I agree. We can plan our route, stay alert, and make sure we're not out for too long. It's important for us to have some fun and not feel like we're always on the run."
Kaine sighed, feeling the weight of the debate. He knew he was going to lose. He understood the need to get out, but his protective instincts were strong. "Alright, I get it, but we can't be out for too long. I don't want to risk getting caught. We need to have a plan and stick to it."
Petra's face lit up with a smile. "Great! We'll keep it low-key. Just a little adventure to lift our spirits. We can scout a few neighborhoods and grab some food."
"Fine," Kaine relented, though his tone was still serious. "But if anything feels off, we head back immediately. No arguments."
The three agreed , and they all exchanged excited glances, the prospect of a little adventure igniting a spark of joy among them. Jessica began brainstorming possible areas to visit. "How about we check out Central Park? It's a big open space, and we can blend in with the crowds. Then we could grab something to eat at a local food truck or café."
Ben added, "And we can avoid the touristy spots. Let's stick to places that are more local, where we're less likely to attract attention."
With their plan taking shape, they spent a few minutes discussing details-what to wear, how to keep their identities hidden, and the routes they should take. As they prepared for their outing, the atmosphere shifted from one of tension to excitement, reminding them of the importance of enjoying life amidst the challenges they faced.
